High pitched sound at 2k rpm

Lately it has been making this really weird high pitched squeaking sound between 1600 RPM and 2200 RPM. -It's not speaker related- seems like it could originate from the dash or engine bay.

It only does it if you are maintaining speed- but in 2-3 second intervals, every 5 maybe 10 min it will come and go. If you floor it- the noise stops. If you let off the gas the noise stops. Otherwise, if you just build up to 2,000rpm slowly, it has a good chance of showing up.

It happens on and off. I haven't noticed what will make it happen and what wont. You can only hear it while driving- in neutral it's not there.

Not sure what it is, but I've been getting annoyed... any ideas?

A few things come to mind, but it will most likely require a tech to look at it. These are all big shots in the dark. First, a vibration in the exhaust system which could be transmitted through the chassis. Next,a loose engine mount, or someting loose in the shifter area. Could also be something behind the center stack trim plate is loose, and only vibrates or squeeks at certain RPMs.

You really need a tech to ride alone with you on this one.

Yea, I'll look into a video perhaps.

But yea, I spose it could be one of many things...

I'll definitely do a tech drive through to be sure and see what unfolds.

Thanks!

One noise I ran into turned out to be my garage door opener vibrating against the mirror cover on my visor. It happened right around the RPM where you described. I felt like an idiot when I found out what it was haha.

I haven't taken it in yet, as it's been driving fine. But I did some more research and it seems to be the coil over. And the connection / mounting of it. It's still annoying as hell tho. But just in case someone else is experiencing it
