The GT fogs in the grille have looked odd to me forever, and they've never 'grown on me' like most things about a car do after you get used to seeing it. I will say that there's not much doubt what's coming down the road when you see those 4 lights.

I hated the fogs when I first saw them back in 2004. Oddly enough, they've grown on me and now I kinda like them. They're very distinct.

Same thing with me. I preferred the V6 front end at the time. Totally changed my mind after seeing them on the road. The fog lights give the care real presence.

A GT front fascia with fog and pony delete looks the best in my opinion.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I just got my car after months of reading everyone's opinions etc. I like the HID look better. Well worth the cost for upgrading. And light output is superior. At least there are options.

I totally agree. I don't think I would have liked the front of mine quite as much without the HIDs.

Here in the desert, the HIDs are great! No lighting of any kind, except from the HIDs, for miles and miles, and you really get to appreciate them.
It sounds as though I'm in the minority, but I like the looks of the HIDs in a normal GT front end. They look especially cool with the Sterling Gray paint, IMHO.

I find the regular lamps compliment the contour of the hood and really complete the front end, not to mention match the fogs exactly. And call me silly, but i actually LIKE the look of the amber lights on the inside of the non-hid's aswell. I also have the Sterling Gray paint.

They're all gorgeous, who are we kidding

Honestly, I think the HIDs are the much better looking of the 2 choices. The opening for the headlights is bigger toward the grille, and tapers off by the outside of the car. The HIDs blend better, with the bigger light in the bigger space, as opposed to the big headlight in the smaller area of the headlight housing, leaving the bigger part by the grille just unfilled looking.

That said, black bezel for the HIDs would be sex.

I like my HID's... I put Silverstars in the fogs I think the combo looks pretty sick on a black Stang!

If you're looking for a bulb to get rid of the "brown" in the fog lights, check out Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs. They are closer than the Silverstars in terms of color, and not ricey looking at all.

They're Hoen H10 bulbs part # 9008

I believe them to be these. I was looking into them myself...

http://www.corvettegarage.com/produc...-corvette.html

Edit: but then there's the negatives: lots of users saying these bulbs aren't bright and are totally useless.

Go read more into that. It's in the nature of the bulb and the color to reduce light output slightly. If you've got HIDs, you won't notice much change.

I could never figure out why people do this; yeah it looks cool, but kinda like wearing sunglasses at night.
Its a little bit of timt to make it less annoying for other drivers. Its not like were getting black paint and plastering it on our headlights...
Whenever ya feel like passin the fanja lemme kno!

Agreed!!! I love my HIDs, the lighting is excellent (I live in the country) and greatly assist with finding deer, lol. The fog lights however are ostentatious and with any luck the new grill will be here tonight so they can go away!!!

Was just thinking that the ambers on the outside sorta resemble the old 70's Boss 302
