The HID headlights are inverted

I'd rather have the headlights outside & parking lamps inside. Opinions?

Yes, they are on the inside, don't like the looks myself.

Had me going for a minute when I read "inverted", that would mean upside down...

personally i think the bezels just need to be blacked out on the HIDs, and add some HID fogs so it wont look so awkward like.

I agree. I don't like the appearance of them, and having the lights inside and the parking lights to the outside makes it even worse. I'm just wondering why they couldn't have done the HIDs like they did on the pre-2010s. Our car has the HIDs, but they look essentially just like the standard headlights.

Now I just want to find fog light bulbs that will put out a similar color light because I think it looks stupid when I have all 4 lights on and they're 2 different colors. But, I can't roll in a GT without lighting up the fogs when it's dark!

Does anyone have a picture of what the HID's look like when they're on? I'd like to see how bright they are both day/night

Thanks in advance.

PS- I'm struggling with the thought of HID's. I don't really know if I like them and if they're worth it. I've heard some people say that, other people on the road think that Mustangs with HID's have their brights on. This would bother me too. I dont really want to annoy people or make people think Im trying to blind them.

At the same time, they do look hot. Only thing is, they should of put them on the outside too. Agree with that. On the inside, gives a cross-eyed kindof look...

this has been discussed plenty of times...

I like the HID housing over that of the "regular" one.

1.) It gets away from the 05-09 bug eye look.
2.) There's A LOT less orange in the housing.
3.) Far better light output.
4.) the inside look blends better / is more streamline, imo.

I ordered mine with HIDs because the lighting is far superior. If I don't like the look, I'll just tint the headlight covers. Problem solved.

good counterpoints... something for me to think about.

plus tinting the cover is also an option like the person below you said...

I didn't do a good search on this, but these are some of the last things I'm thinking about when ordering my car- and need to bounce it back and forth to finally decide. I do want something different, that's for sure... not an 05-09

The shine of the HIDs are superior. The looks however are horrible, IMO. ESPECIALLY on the GT

This is why I DIDN'T order them. I like HID technology and the light output would be really nice but it just seems like an afterthought. I suspect Ford will move them outboard for the 2014 and they'll be standard. The $525 (right?) price tag is WAY reasonable though. If you really want HID, they're worth the money.

I'm not crazy about how the HIDs look on a GT, however if I feel that they would be a significant enough improvement for night driving, I'd get them anyway. Haven't decided yet.

I ordered mine without them, because I have the HIDs on my MKZ, and cannot tell the difference between them and the regular lights on my son's MKZ. Not enough difference to justify the cost, IMHO.

Just my .02 cents, but i think it gives it a nasty, mean look. And when you see those coming through your rear view mirror. Make way.

I ordered the HID's on my V-6 with the Pony Package. They won't look all that bad because my fog lights are in the lower bumper.
