The track pack does nothing for your internals if you are pushing a lot of power to your engine.

Can someone please tell me if these issues are fixed in the 13 14's GT 5.0L. I have read that the 11 and 12's have weaker engine parts in them? Any help would be great. Thanks to all

Yes u can sleep fine cylinder number eight is a distant memory as the updated pistons cope better with heat dissipation. The clutch issues have been solved.

The '13 cars did not have piston squirters, tune slightly revised, pistons are coated, head bolts are different, front clips rear taillights and interior is different, most '13 I have seen manual make around 390 rwhp 11-12 make 370-380. Handful of differences but essentially the same car

They are forged, they say the stock crank is good for 1500 hp. The boss uses the same crank, different balance.

What parts did you hear were weaker and where'd you hear that? I'd like to read or research it.

Good read but I am curious... does any of this apply to the 2012 Boss 302?

Yes there was a few early 12 boss failures due to warped heads from extended track use. And issues with oil consumption from the rings not seating, and piston slap have had a few engines replaced. But forged pistons are loud when cold. all the problems where fixed with the 13s expect for the piston slap.

I haven't seen stock 2013/2014's making 390 whp... the Boss does, not GT's. My GT TP was 376 whp on a dynojet, which seems to be roughly average, maybe a little on the higher side for stock.

I could be wrong, but all the dyno's I've seen of 2011-2014 are mid 360's to mid 370's

I have mustang mag and brenspeed dyno have seen it in the range of 380-390whp but once again ive seen boss 302s dyno the same as a gt. But dynos are not good for setting a standard anyways. But the 13-14s are more consistent than the 11-12s
