Good to know about putting too much power into your stock internals, unless forged/billet. It would suck to twist/rip a connecting rod like that. Bye bye stock block.

All in all these failures are all known quanities in the 'modern' mustang world ('79 to 2014 -the EFI/OBD + SRA era) and its nice to see a concise article going into them all.
These failures have always been and continue to be acceptable in exchange for the power to price ratio these cars have.

Didn't know there was a TSB/fix for the clutch for the 6MT...?
Clutch pedal sticks to the floor ('11 5.0, more than 6,700 rpm): An improperly designed clutch pedal is apparently responsible for the clutch failing to release even on stockers. Ford has come out with a service-fix pedal-redesign and upgraded pedal return spring.
