help with lowering component combos!

I am new to the forum and have done alot of research on my car but i need help with what to get in order to lower it. i currently have a set of sr springs from am that i got on sale for 99 that i havent installed yet! cant really beat that for the price. I found the steeda strut/shock combo and wanted to use them with the sr performance springs and gt500 mounts. I saw that lmr has a steeda strut/shock setup for the 11-14 or one for the 05-10. im trying to figure out if the regular 11-14 steeda set up will work with the lowering springs and gt500 mounts on my 13 because i thought the whole idea of using the gt500 mounts is to allow the use of 05-09 shocks/struts???? I have been getting mixed answers from people so im just trying to set the record straight. If this set up will not work what do i need to run the sr lowering springs on my 13 gt?
Here is a link to everything mentioned above.

Steeda Shock/Strut http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...-Mustang-11-14 or they also have this for the 05-09 http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...hock-Strut-Kit

With the GT500 mounts you will have to get an 05-10 style shock/strut. Everyone seems to like saying "don't forget to get the GT500 mounts" and then forget to add "by the way they only work on 05-10 style struts/shocks".

Also just for kicks why wont the mounts work with the strut/shock combo labled for use specifically on the 11-14??

And anyone with a similar setup or any experience specifically with the sr springs on a 2013 gt feel free to chime in. Im debating on weather to send the sr springs back and go eibach sportline, but for the price i can beat the sr springs!! also i know i need an adjustable panhard bar along with the shocks/struts, mounts, and springs! anything else im forgetting??

The strut shaft doesn't fit, trust me, I found out the hard way. And the springs should fit as part that holds the springs is the same. What I wouldn't suggest is getting a set of 05-10 springs for 11-14 struts because the spring rates may be different.

so the sr springs should work then becuase they are supposed to be for all 05-14 with the use of the gt500 mounts which require an 05-10 shock/strut setup. and ill also be using them with a 05-10 shock strut combo (open to suggestions) with the springs and mounts.

As another option ... you could also get our HD Strut Mounts Here:

http://www.steeda.com/store/steeda-m...unts-555-8135/

You will be best getting the 11 and up plates otherwise you will need to get the 5-10 spring cups to use with the 5-10 plates.

Feel free to email me if you would like to discuss further of if you would like me to put you in contact with one of our technical sales associates?

You can reach me at tim@steeda.com.

Best Regards,

TJ

I have that exact setup and can tell you the ride is not good. I have Steeda shocks/struts 05-09 version, SR springs and GT500 mounts. If I knew it was gonna ride so rough I wouldn't have brought the springs. The Steeda shocks and struts are awesome. I know it's the springs b/c I installed them after the shocks/struts. On smooth roads they are fine so if that is the case in your area where you only have smooth roads then you'll be good to go lol.
