One suggestion I would have is test drive the 5.0 and put the car in Sport Mode before playing around with it. I haven't driven an automatic Mustang but even in my manual stock Mustang I can feel a difference in the engine. Though the manual doesn't have that same 2 tenths delay at all.

I definitely didn't try the sport mode.

Yes, and also ride in one with out that fat @ss salesman. No joking here.

You can actually feel the difference with or without a passenger. It's crazy.

Well Ive gone 12.33@ 114plus with my bone stock 2013 base a6 gt . I believe youll need more mods to stay with me. Not knocking the v6 just saying but dyno does not always equal the actual performance. My previous car a base 11 gt a 6 went 11.95 @ 117plus with a tune only on the stock pirellis.

Okay. I'm not familiar with the a6 GT but those are some sweet 1/4 mile times. I would agree, a lot more mods needed to catch those times. Although I must say if my goal was to have a mustang that ran high 11 to low 12 second 1/4 mile times then I certainly wouldn't buy myself a V6. That's just silly. Nothing really to knock about the V6 but a car that can easily run high 13's 1/4 mile for around 23k. Not that many cars out on the market can actually do that for that price.

Head scratch. Impossible times on street tires. Almost got to call BS. Love to see a video of that so I can apologize.

The OP is correct . I have a 2011 V6 with a lot of mods (3:73s, CAI, 93H tune, suspension mods, exhaust, etc.). When I drove a 2012 GT manual with stock gears, I expected more; however, I bet the car is amazing with 3:73 gears.

At the end of the day, Ford is making some great products right now. Roll on a lighter, faster Mustang...the 2015.

And there's your answer. The powerband starts at 4k. If you didn't hit it, you couldn't have floored it for very long and you missed all the fun.

A tuned car with bolt-ons (V6 or V8) will always feel different than an otherwise stock car.
