LMAO ya its def the SUPER SHAKER 1000. Man I couldnt believe how bad that thing was when I got my 08 Bullitt. I didnt have a choice or I wouldnt have got it the first time.....this time I left the 500 to fend for itself lol.

What side is the noise coming from? Supsension or interior?

****, there's a SUPER SHAKER? how come my dealer didn't tell me that!? I would have def blown more money on a super shaker.

The noise sounds interior, passenger rear side of the car.

The funny thing about all this...is that I got the upgrade so I wouldn't have to tear the car apart and possibly screw up panels so they wouldn't fit properly after, and end up rattling/squeaking. But I didn't have to, Ford screwed up for me!

Win!

Both of those shakers are garbage. I wish I had gotten the base stereo in my '06 so I could swap in a replacement. How can a CD player made in the 21st century still have a 2 second gap in between tracks? My first CD player in 1989 didn't do that!!!

Lol...idk I would want the Premium for the EP head unit, Sync and the 8s in the doors. Then it would be that much easier to get 8" midbasses in my doors!

I would hope Ford upgraded their components after 5 years..maybe they didn't? I have nothing to compare too...

Wait, isn't there already a "you're a moron if you rock a S1000" thread

I drove a base GT yesterday, dealer has this and a Premium vert in stock currently. The sticker on the vert was 43+, fairly well loaded, no sticker on the coupe but he said was a little over 30k so not many options. I never even sat in a base before, glad I ordered another premium, getting old and enjoy the amenities. To the
sublect of the drive- was wayyy too much traffic to really play with the car but took it highway and city streets and was impressed. The power comes on strong in all gears, tranny shifts smooth (never had the skip-shift kick in) and it handled the bumps and rough road thru construction zone well. I thought the clutch felt lighter than my 05 but it was smoother. I know now, not that there was much doubt, that I made the right decision the go with the 5.0 and give the 05 to my daughter.

Wanna give the 05 to me? I think I need it more...

Btw, where'd you get your orange tint for the fogs? I've seen your car on here and couldn't remember that it was you who had it.

Sorry, too late.... I drove it to CA last month to deliver her birthday present and make sure my grandsons had a safe car to ride in !
The orange is not a tint, it's actually a simple "plastic" cutout that I got back in 05 from someone on one of the forums. I had a set of multiple colors that I switched depending on my mood- orange, limo, smoked. It changed the appearance easily and was cheap. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything from him in a couple years. Send me a PM and I will go thru my files and try to find the info.

I drove my friends 2010 GT500 and I am hooked! Loved the 540hp & brakes. How does the new 5.0 compare?
Would I get bored with it a day later?

My '92 S-10 winter beater has less of a squeak than this thing. Like I said, I can hear it over my music sometimes.

Played around with the rear decklid and panels a bit - it's seemed to tame the noise for the most part, but it's still there.

Found the culprit.

I've already considered the ammount of "i told you so" responses that will be a result of this, but still wanna fill you guys in....

The source of this very audible squeak is the......ahem..... shaker 1000 sub box

Still not sure if it's the box itself, or where its' mounted to the car.

Oh that is rich. Fricken LOL. A little bit of Dynamat should be able to fix it. I don't remember how the S197 trunk lids are, but on my SN95, there are two little springs with stoppers on them that keep the pressure loaded. They would rattle, so I just stuck a small square of dynamat under each one and no more rattles. You could probably do the same with the mounting holes on the sub box. Cover the holes with the Dynamat, then bolt through it, using it as a washer. Might be worth a shot...

And haha yeah I think I've busted your chops enough. I love Sterling Gray and hey, you're rollin in a new 5.0, I'm not, so I can't talk too much smack.
