'Factory' Hood Scope
I removed my hood scoop to make it functional. Several nuts/bolts and several push lock plastic clips. Remove your hood liner and you'll see them all poking through under the hood.
As far as mounting a scope, you'll want to mount that somewhere that provides easy viewing while you line up your opponents in your sights before droping the hammer (or pulling the trigger).

10+ hood scopes are attached with liberal amounts of ugly.
I was wondering since I found a 2010 GT I like except for it has the hood SCOOP that is included in an accessory package. If I were to get the car I would remove the SCOOP and don't want a bunch of holes in the hood. I think I'll go by and look how it is attached.

Those hood scoops are very large for something that doesn't do anything. I sat in one (Mustang) at my local dealer. It blocks the view of the road some. I didn't like it. A little like a chick wearing a padded bra. LOL!!!
There's a candy apple red 2010 GT near me but it has the hood scoop and I just don't like it. All the 2010 GT premium autos I've found near me seem to have that in common.
If you take the scoop off you will have holes to fill.
