Maybe they're serious about making quality job #1 instead of immediate volume?

Mine was built 3 weeks ago!
Does the quality get better as it sits in the lot?

Mine is closer then I thought!

Hi Bart,

The last we heard, (and we were off yesterday, although Reid placed a call on your behalf to our order person) your Mustang was in Mesquite. We are hoping that it comes in by tomorrow, although Reid just went to check on whether by chance, it came in last night.

We'll be in touch....

This really makes me wonder about my ETA. Was 5/5, then 5/12, then 5/19, now 5/22. I don't want to be one of those sitting at AAI for 2 months.

Secretly, your car is being stored in an aged oak barrel. . .

My point is that there may be cars undergoing extra quality screening before shipment. Or, more likely, they're just trying to empty the lot at a pace faster than the line can produce them but more likely holding steady or just ahead of that pace.

Either way, bummer.

At least your ETA seems to be getting updated. Mine was 5/5. Then last week I called the 800 number and they told me my new ETA was 5/12. Then this week I called the 800 number again, and spoke with my dealer, and they both say my ETA is still 5/5 .. and my car is still at AAI.

For the record, my car was built 4/15, original delivery date was 4/17, then 4/26, then 5/1, then 5/1-5/8, then 5/1, then 5/22, then 5/15 and now today it showed up at the dealership and I get her tomorrow.

So... there is hope in the insanity.

And yes, I call that number a good deal.

Thanks! It hurts me to even wait that long, but apparently my dealer has to be present the way they do things there.... and he's off on Thursdays. UGH!

So excited though. Hopefully, when I go down to finish the financing today, I get to touch her.

That's great news, my build date was 4/15 also. Maybe I'll get a phone call sometime soon. Congrats!

is this the nice, roundabout kind of way of saying that those are the cars that were built *ffed up

James - I'm going to go check out a black MCA tonight - dealer in town FINALLY got one. Seems like all of em are the Pony package. I'll have my camera with me, so I'll see if I can get some good pics - seems like some cameras make the wheels look dark...some look light. I'm anxious to see how they really look in person!

...on a side note - just noticed I got a pony emblem & upgraded to a GT member - HAHA Guess that proves I have officially been tagged as Mustang obsessed! LOL

Sweet, I'll keep my eyes open for pics. Would you happen to have the VIN?

Very nice, it's got the 3.31. You're going to take it for a drive and let us know what you think about the 3.31 vs the 2.73, right?
