ETA of 5/15 (from 5/8)
Well, I called Ford again and had an unusually long hold time of about 12 minutes (would you people PLEASE quit calling when I'm trying to get through!?!?!)
Good news: The car was built on time -- 5/4/2010.
OK news: The car is "in transit" (???) with a NEW ETA of 5/15 (was 5/8.)
Ten days to go from Detroit to NoVA? I can do it in 8 hours. Yes, yes, I know but still.
Absolutely nothing bad at all. Just getting excited to get this new toy.

5/16 is Sunday. Kinda doubtful, huh?
Even my Saturday delivery makes me skeptical from a dealer standpoint. Will they have everyone they need on hand to receive, prep, and deliver it? I'd LOVE to get that sucker on Saturday around lunch time and take out out for about 36 hours of non-stop fun.

Dealer told me last night when I put mine in that it will be tagged as a Priority 2 - would take about 6 weeks. I have to special order since I am getting the glass roof. He said there was only ONE V6 MCA with a glass roof in all of the US in dealer stock right now

Well, just called Ford, ETA is holding at 5/6/10 so far. Ordered Feb2 then built 4/14, 1st ETA 4/28, 2nd ETA 5/3 hopefully third scheduled ETA is the charm.
On a side note, day I ordered my car I ordered a Mustang Jacket too. It was out of stock and got backordered for an ETA of Feb28, then ETA changed to 4/30, current ETA is 5/31. Seems, like the car just might win the delivery race.

In Transit 4/30
In 5 days the railroad has moved it 329 miles. Its not even half way to where it goes on a truck.
They are killing me!
PS Once in transit your dealer can look and see exactly where your car was at the last update by the railroad.
They usually update it whenever it reaches each hub-transfer point.
