Agreed. The 05-09s are still great cars IMO. It was the updates to the interior in 2010 and the drivetrain in 2011 that finally coerced me to buy my first mustang in June, but I still like all of the 05+. One of my all time favorites was my former neighbor's white 2007 California Special convertible, it not only looked great but it SOUNDED great too - much better than my timid-sounding 2011.

I don't know if they're that boring. To me they're more like 69 Boss boring.

Yes they do. Well, I never considered an 05-09 in the first place.

Well, when you take in consideration that they are both different models, each one looks dull/boring while at the same time "un-dull and un-boring"...just made new words ()...I think is comparing apples and oranges.

stock to stock form the 05-09 are plain.
Does that make them worse off? Depends who you're asking.
They served a great purpose.
Personally tho I prefer the 10+ body.

/I like how some grumpy 05-09er rated this thread a 1 star lol.

It's his arrogance that I find funny. HE "never considered getting an 05-09". Who cares!?

Crimony. I thought it was only GTO owners that had these silly arguments. Substitute 04 flat hood versus 05/06 hood scoops for 05-09 rear bumper versus 10-11 rear bumper, and I've read this thread for the last 6 years. It's like Groundhog Day!

Enjoy your car for whatever it is. They're all Mustangs. Be happy.

And you weren't being arrogant when you said:

Kneel and bow before The Legend!
I hope you aren't being serious Whammer. If you are get over yourself man. Your opinion is worth no more than Adam's and vice versa. So don't say "and we care about his opinion why?", because the same thing can be said for you.

I don't get why people act like these cars are competing with each other lol. They are both MUSTANGS. Each the perfect car for the years they were made in IMO.

The new 05 was what got me into Mustangs - the prior generation just didn't do anything for me. However, the 2010+ definitely brings some needed refinement - especially to the interio

+1!!!!

Jason and John have got to be two of the smartest and most level headed people on here. It's nice to know there's reasonable people out there like the two of you.

Thanks Gary. I'm glad you haven't seen me on a sugar rush yet. That might change your opinion

Above was def post of the thread.

Wanted to respond to who said 2005-09 was boring or young people don't like'm. I get kids runnin in front of my 2008, screaming at, etc alllllll the time. Look mommy the MusTAaAaaaang I want one, etc. I don't even consider myself the owner most of the time, just the lucky person that gets to go for rides all the time. The new Stangs look like Stangs, but the rear is not as distinctive. You can spot the 05-09's a mile away. The new ones you have to make sure and not confuse it with something else. Maybe if I owned one I'd think differently. Still plannin on adding a 2012 GT500 so I guess I'll find out hopefully.
