Do they look boring to you now?

I think the people who own 05-09's will say "no way they look better."
I think the people who own 10-11's will say "no way they look better."
It's a no-win question

+1, I'll add that the 05-09 looks bigger as well. Anytime there is a design change there will be folks that don't like it at first. Alot of people just don't like change. Read any board when a new model comes out. Tons of people hate them yet fast forward a couple of years and people usually prefer the newer models. I think the 10+ look better than any prior mustang except for the first gen fastbacks.
The 05-09s look like an unfinished clay prototype to me.
That said, I like the sleeper Bullitts (and the green). The rears on BOTH could be perfected IMO.

I guess I'm the only one who wants Competition Orange?
I like both body styles but very differently. I think the new Mustang is much more relevant for the times. I still like the back end of the new Mustang but I also like progression. I am younger so I believe they succeeded in drawing in a new, younger crowd. I also think the new style is much more aggressive. Just like how the new edge Mustang's looked. I enjoy the looks of the 05-09 as well and respect what it was trying to achieve. Though some things I thought were cheapened up, I was glad to see that the new Mustangs have a more upscale look while keeping with the throw back looks. They are just different. Yet the same in many ways.

No I agree with you. Ford is trying to draw a younger crowwd but IMO is going about it all wrong. The back end of the '10+ reminds me of the new Accord coupe. 05-09 screams muscle car looks to me. The '10+ seems like it is more along the lines of a refined luxury coupe.
Stock for stock, it all depends on wheels to me on which looks plain. The 17 inch bullitts or the split spoke 5 spokes (17s) make the 05-09 look boring. But on 18in + wheels they look the same in terms of "not boring"
That being said, I LOVE the 2010+ front end. It's extremely aggressive, and makes the '05s look civil. Not boring, just not mean either

The '10+ GT500 wheels, Brembos, and 19in '10 TP wheels are great improvements and really help move the mustang forward.
Love the Mach's and Cobra's oh and
I however would add 10+ color choices (CO, GB and SG)
10+ SVT wheels.
My perfect Mustang would be the following:
05-09 Rear
10+ front and hips
11+ suspension
12 Boss motor
03-04 Cobra exhaust note

I swear you people are such pompous windbags.
This sounds like a Porsche vs. BMW thread or something.
Maybe some of you should look into purchasing a Vette too.
These are Mustangs. I like them both regardless of which I own. But what I don't do is start a thread talking about how plain the sn95s are and how ugly the Foxes were. We are Mustang brothers and sisters here, but instead you people just want to bring up why your Mustang is better than the one that came before it. And the older Mustangs bring up how ugly the new ones are and why theirs are better. It's so annoying, yet at the end of the day they are still Mustangs built from the same heritage with the same purpose in mind.
I always appreciate when the OP posts about how he likes one Mustang better than another, just like when he used to posts about why the 05-09 was better than the 10.
And for those who will inevitably say why are 05-09 guys posting here, tough s***, get used to it. It's a free country and some of us have been here a lot longer and I don't care what the topic is, if I have something to contribute I will.
BTW this has nothing to do with me owning a 2007, a 2000, or a 1991. I could buy a 2011 tomorrow, but it doesn't offer me anything I don't already have or want. Though I do like the cars including the rear and everything else. It is an improvement. Things improve. I mean for what they cost now they better be improved.

10... ehhh it's "puckering"
05-09 screams MUSCLE, boxy, bulging wheel wells!
It's like the hot muscley fox body vs the smooth sn95 again lol

2010-2011 wins.
2005-2009 wasn't bad, either.
New one is more "sporty" looking. And if people want to equate "boxy" with "muscle," that's fine.

I love the hips on the car. You can even see them when you look out the side mirrors

in contrast to the conflicted lines of that 10/11 rear end.
Which was my point about the 10/11 rear end. Doesn't know if its smiley or frowny...

This discusion went on for pages and pages on other forums.
I will only accept someones opinion on this when they dont actually own the type/style Mustang they
say looks best.
+1 for the Fox bodies with trunks for me.

I don't think they should copy any Japa-Euro clone *** end at all. But if they're going to do it, do it with some style rather than making the 10/11 diaper look like a committee job where everyone needed a slice of "win" so they'd all feel good about themselves in the morning.
IMO of course.

Here is every argument in this thread:
"I think 'XX-'XX body style is better because 'YY-'YY has an UGLY [insert body feature here]. Here is a picture to prove it even though everyong here knows exactly what both models look like. My opinion is fact and I am right. Everyone should think like me."

I'm just gonna say it.. I've pretty much liked every mustang style ever built (besdies mustang II, sorry). Some just do it for me more than others. I still appreciate the style of the 05-09 and I wanted an 05 for a long time
