I have a midge bug problem in my area and use rain-x bug and tar remover. I tried some others but this has been the best so far. This way I'm not wiping anything abrasive on the finish.

Stoner Tarminator is my go-to product for stubborn stuff.

For me the clay bar is much preferred to a cleaner wax. I have found my car is slick and smooth as glass to the touch after clay bar-ing and some meguairs gold class. I hate to even drive it afterwards because turns out so well! Of course it does take some effort.

Bonus: Don't throw your clay bars away, unless they are completely wrecked. I had one that was 6 years old laying around, and when I came home from the track a couple weeks ago, I had nothing to get all the rubber track gunk off. I found the clay in the back corner of my locker, and walla, track gunk taken care of.

I use Liquid Clay Bar 'Ice,' made by Turtle Wax. I used it when my Mustang was 3 months old and will do it again once a year. I know its not as good as the clay bars but at my old age its very easy to use
