Don't like the front edge of the hood. Should come down more and go straight across and not curve upwards.

I dont think the near vertical pieces between the lights are so pronounced. From looking at the pics from when the mule paced the race it looks as if those pieces are fluch with the headlights like they are on the 05-09's. And the grille doesnt look to be that recessed to me

edit: upon further examination it looks as though maybe the lights are swept back more than in the photochop. It looks like the vertical piece is angled back the same degree as the headlight bucket so as to be fluch with the glass covering the headlights.

Okay... Much better and more angry instead of the smiling look. I bet fogs in the grille will set that baby off.

Does the passenger lose a little weight each time you adjust the picture?

Good eyes ShoneyB.

Admittedly, BoDuke, the hood lacks imagination and, frankly, effort, just wanted to smear a little interest up there.

FWIW, I'm only extrapolating on what little you can see thru the bra for headlamp location, grille shapes, etc. We know the headlights look like that, the upper and lower grilles will look somewhat like that, I have no real clue about the fogs, reflectors or the hood. I may get a chance to "reveal" a 3/4 view at some point.

I forwarded the link to my friend, and they said it's close, but you've missed some subtle tweaks and lines that "hooks it all together". They also said your image is a good effort, but is "too soft"....shape of the metal is wrong. And when I mentioned the Mustang II comment, they belted out laughing. "No way, not at all," they said. They said V6 is more agressive, GT is even more agressive, and GT500 will kick your freaking a__!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for what I think, it looks a lot better than a base V6 of today, which I think is very boring. Pony improves it, and GT and GT500 rocks. But if this is the V6, its a definite step up!

Thanks, gnat-sum, I appreciate getting inside feedback. I think this direction for the 2010 is great. And my being close is good and bad. The frustration comes from not being able to complete the clean lines. That's what great designers do. I left the hood "rounded" because I don't have a good idea of how it really looks, nor the designer ability to fake a better looking one. Your insider is SO right, just refining this with the right lines would make all of you appreciate how good an update the 2010 is. I like to visualize, but can only give you maybe 80% of the whole picture. The 20% that is wrong is tainting the 80% that is right for many of you. I can mentally fuzz the 20% that is wrong and see the essence of the great design. As a digital illustrator, I can always visualize the final product with the confidence that I can get there. Getting a new client to believe that is tough. (Any art director I've worked with before has already had it proven to them.) A few more glimpses of the final front would better enable me to do a convincing front.

Seek your inner 20% fuzz.

if the actual 2010 stang looks like this i will probably get a 09 or jump over to dodge and get a challenger, im pretty dissapointed with this design.

I think Ford better show us a pic of the 2010 or we may have a lot of people jumping over to the Camero/Challenger cars. With photos like these it may be scarring a lot of potential buyers thinking this is what it will really look like and it aint good if it is.
I know a guy who just traded in his 07 GT for a Challenger. Paid $5000 over MSRP because he just has no faith in Ford.

Lets see how much faith he has when Chrysler goes belly up and disappears... Talking about a company I have no faith in, that would be it...

Especially considering no ones even SEEN the car yet.

Ford is not going to take the other 2 lying down...believe me.
