cancel order?

Alright, so i've posted on how my dealer hasn't been so great with me and told me my car was being built when I in fact knew it wasn't.

I wen't over to another dealer today and asked what they could give me for a 2011, they were happy to help me and tell me they could give me about 200 under invoice and that they wouldn't give me any headaches about it and it would probably be here mid may-end of may-beginning of june, which I don't mind.

Now, I put 3000 down on the car.. do you think i'll have a problem getting it back? Apparently they've already cashed it.

What State do you live in? Most States have laws REQUIRING deposits be refunded regardless of what the dealer says.

Checked Florida law,

Florida law requires a nonrefundable deposit be disclosed in writing on the receipt.

Was it?

That's a pretty good deal. That's better then the X-plan!

I'm kind of surprized you put so much down. Usually it's only $500?

Nope, I just put the deposit down and got it in writing of how much I put down and what the car costs etc. Nothing about being nonrefundable

The law is on your side then. You will win in smalls claims court if they decline.

Yeah, been through that deal about having to wait ten days to get the money back, bunch of BS. Just gives them ten more days of interest to be collected on YOUR MONEY!

Glad to hear that they're (so far) being good about giving the deposit back. Good luck with the other offer.
