Canadian 2013 GT's not getting grille mounted LED fogs
The fogs i can live without, the chrome grille, i CANNOT live with that on my car....though i did purchase white - maybe the chrome on the white will not be as prodominante , but right now on the black car posted and the red one .... that chrome piece looks bad to my eyes.
(RANT OVER NOW)
I'm not in the business or anything, but either this is going to be more commonplace as manufacturers go towards using HIDs/LEDs for everything, the law is going to have to change....
...or can the companies use a less bright bulb, but I'm guess that would kinda defeat the purpose....

There's no win in this situation. If they put the BOSS grille on the GT's then all the BOSS owners will be pissed that all the GT's look like their cars. It would ruin the BOSS street cred.

So, all the 2013s I have seen so far in canada, do not have the lights in the grill, but rather have the california special fog lights..
The one at the autoshow in toronto however had the lights in the grill
Not sure if anyone has any insight, sort of disappointed in the v6 appearance my mustang will have..

This is correct. I just got clarification. (Thanks Guys)
LED fogs are considered HID lights in Canada.
And since the HIDs are standard headlights, the fogs can't be used as DRLs. (which is what I'm guess the 2010-2012s used for DRLS..anyone confirm this?)
This meaning that this is how all GTs in Canada will look now, and why the lowers fogs (which are incandescent)

I wonder if Ford Canada changed anything on the GT500. I think I will wait and see before ordering. For some reason we always get something different than the US models. That front end on the Black GT with the chrome is just wrong. Changes the look. The US GT is just fine with the fog lights in the grill. Very sad for us Canadians. Maybe it is just me. But, I would not order the Canadian GT with that front end. Looks like a trip the the US after all... Ford of Canada is sure making it hard to order cars here in Canada...
+1 This is correct, msqr.

the LED stripe in the lights?
So I guess they aren't bright/noticeable enough for DRLs and the fogs have to be used to suppliment them.
Bummer
Which is odd, the LED strips are all that Audi uses I'm pretty sure.
Could be wrong on that.

Yeah they do, i bought my 2011 GT in the US and brought it back into Canada. I called Ford of Canada first to give them all the info about the car, and then i brought it to my dealership who is now honoring my warranty.

A while ago i read on some forums they were talking about "price curbing" and i was misinformed.
I would've added a couple grand and got a GT with glassroof from the states.
Just cancel your order. Remember, employee price usually starts in mid to late June. Usually $6,000 off sticker on a GT. Something to think about. I did that with my 07 GT, great deal.
That is a good question. For me I would only go with the GT500. That is what I want. My 07 GT is great. Love it but, always wanted a Shelby. Now it is always wanted a 650 hp Shelby...Ha,Ha...
This really is bad news for us Mustang guys...How could this happen???
Then i proceeded to make an appointment to my local Canadian Tire to have it inspected ( took all of 5 miutes, all they want to verify is that whether the headlights or foglights come on when the ignition key is turned on ), and get my compliance paper.
Et voila, once it was all finished, i removed the relay and all is fine. No DRL's for me. Cost me $5 cdn.
Real simple Pete, all i did was install a relay for the foglights-ignition switch main harness which is located at the passenger side kick panel . The foglights would come on when the ignition key would be at the ON position ( no engine).

Is that acceptable to do that if Ford wasn't allowed to. Hence the lower fogs.
