WTF? the '12 has fog lights in the grille

I think the DRLs are the bottom fog lights because the HIDs cannot be used for DRLS. IMHO.

 

^ that's probably it.. guess they don't consider the two stripes next to the headlights DRL's

they should've made the amber bulbs the DRL's then like the corvette, or is that also no good

HIDs are just standard now (mind you the design is different)
but HIDs were available as options on previous years, and the GT grills have always had the fogs.

 

I never cared for the big round fog lightsthat were in my 2007. So I maybe in the minority but happy to see them without the fogs. I would like to order new GT convertible but annoyed I can't get leather Recaro's in vert. unless you get Shelby.

 

I wonder if Ford Canada changed anything on the GT500. I think I will wait and see before ordering. For some reason we always get something different than the US models. That front end on the Black GT with the chrome is just wrong. Changes the look. The US GT is just fine with the fog lights in the grill. Very sad for us Canadians. Maybe it is just me. But, I would not order the Canadian GT with that front end. Looks like a trip the the US after all... Ford of Canada is sure making it hard to order cars here in Canada...

 

Aftermarket grill with Eleanor fog lights and still have the OEM fog lights on the bottom. That should really look a lot better than the US version IMHO.

 

Personally.............I think this is a great looking front end.....and looks even more like the GT500 without the fogs in the grille

Its the chrome that ruins it for me - even the black one posted...that chrome bezel is horrible.

If they needed to take out the fogs, at least black it all out, and do the CS grill then with the horse in the middle. And the fogs should resemble the SHelby then in the bumpers, not the V6 -

i bought a 5.0 vert and spent 40% more money than somoene with the V6 vert - i should look closer to a shelby or boss for my money, not the entry level version model - this is a **** off....
This is not the car i ordered when i saw it at the auto show - fog delete on the grill, and this chrome nonesense....if i wanted chrome i would have went for a 60s car ....this is total BS

then they wonder why they cant hold brand loyalty

I guess if the grill is blacked out and the pony is smoked it's really going to look nice. Once the Eleanor grille comes out I will swap it and install HID fog lights and then look into changing the lower grill with JLT brake vent inlets.

LED fogs are considered HID lights in Canada.
And since the HIDs are standard headlights, the fogs can't be used as DRLs. (which is what I'm guess the 2010-2012s used for DRLS..anyone confirm this?)

This meaning that this is how all GTs in Canada will look now, and why the lowers fogs (which are incandescent)
