Thanks for the help. I guess if it's coming up "vin not found in the system " I don't have a sticker yet. I got the dora faxed from the dealer and next to the vin it has the order date of 7/20 and a date of 8/23 next to it. Would that be the manufacture date.

 

If you ordered on 7/20, your sticker will not be showing up for sometime. Check back on 8/16-8/17 to see if it pops up.

They usually don't schedule build dates on a dora, usually they're not scheduled until the VIN comes online and then it will have the exact build date. If you ordered on 7/20 and already have a VIN then it's already moving along very smoothly.

 

Can you post a pic of your DORA?

It very well could be. I just looked on my dora and it does have a section labeled "SCHD". If you have a date in that SCHD section, that is the build date. Unless there is some unseen stoppage in the next couple of weeks that results in a delay in your order, start checking a week before the 20th for your window sticker.

Needless to say, getting your VIN and schedule date in under two weeks =

Hopefully Christie, you will see your GT soon! I live about 2 hours from the factory, the last day i called them, they gave me a new ETA. CS didnt even know my car had already been delivered that morning. So if your close, by the time they showed its shipped, its already there. Ronn

 

Yes, after it gets out of production it usually goes to AAI Lot 51, then from there it goes to Autoport lot 5P and from there it ships to your dealer.

DORA says "Job #2" on it which I guess that means it will not be built until after 8/16. But I have read many different dates for Job 2! Is anyone absolutely sure it starts 8/16? I have read it has already started, it started today 8/2, 8/16 and 8/22. Quite the variety!

 

Can someone help me with DORA? I have my VIN and my scheduled build date is 08/16/10...

 

You can only get a copy of the DORA from your dealer.

 

Job 2 is positively starting Aug. 16th.

 

I received a new visibility update this morning. Looks like my Stang is on a train heading to Atlanta!

I called Canadian National Railways and they told me that they couldn't give me any updates. That information can only be provided to Ford. They also said they don't ship to Atlanta so it would have to switch trains somewhere. Does 13 days sound right for shipping from the plant to Atlanta?

Got an update today. Car was built 8/3, and I have an ETA of 8/18.

103653....looks like the earliest one here... Sticker says build 3/30/10
Bought and picked up 7/30. My dealer did a dealer swap, so no info on what transpired between build and delivery.., but the car had 9 miles on it when he picked it up......

 

Delivered 8/3 picked up 8/4 had 46 miles. All the way to the end there was problems also got my first warning message I think it said something like "check fuel fill neck".

 

Every day that passes this week I'm finding that I'm getting more and more anxious.

 

we all know what it feels like. especially once you drive it, and realize its more then you expected. faster, quieter, smoother, better braking, etc. how you feel when others see you driving it, and you know you are driving a legend.

this car is nowhere near as fast as my 4v turbo, but i love this one. the poor 96 hasnt had a mile on it since i got the 2011.
