Ok so I was wondering...My car supposedly is at Ramp 5M in New Boston, MI with a rail car number. Its been this status since Wednesday. Will its location be updated from this point on or does it not update once it reaches the rail car?

 

My dealer called this morning and said my status had changed to "United Road" which is the car hauling company...I *MIGHT* get my car today!

 

My dealer was able to tell me when it made it to each railroad stop before it got put on a truck.

 

Sometimes they just show up.

Two days ago I got my first update in over a month and the car was 3/4 of the way to the dealer but with an ETA for the 19th.

Arrived at the dealer today!!!!!!

I just won't be able to get over there for about two weeks, but I can handle that.

THX, tmclaugh & GottaLove. I second guessed the paint & stripe colors more than anything after ordering. I'm glad to LOVE IT now that I see it in person.

 

As you can see in my sig...I got the black hood and side stripes on my grabber blue. My mom stopped by the dealership on her way out and told me my car looked gorgeous (of course being my mom, she's biased)...so i'm excited for tuesday when i can pick my baby up!

 

I got my VIN today from my dealership. 140635. Placed me order on 6/19 (Not entered into Ford's system until 6/21). However he could not give me a build date or an ETA. All he could told me was that the factory had the order and it was being built. I guess that means the build date is today? Anyone have any insight? This is the most info the dealer has given me to date.

No, that doesn't mean the build date is today. It probably won't be scheduled until after the plant shut down is over.

I really hate dealer allocation

 

Thanks. It has a priority of 10. Does that change anything? The dealer told me that my order was within his allocation when he placed the order.

 

Yeah that makes it go faster but the plant is shutting down production for 2 weeks so there's not much that can be done about that.

 

You will have to ask your dealer. The build date is literally on the same page where he got your vin number from. I stealthed a picture of the screen when my salesman pulled up the info on my car, and you will see at the bottom of the picture, it has a box that has the projected week of the build date.
