Called the dealer and the owner is having the regional rep call me. I told them about a few favor orders that were delivered early, gave them VINs and time frames... hoping regional rep will have an explanation...

Too bad I only buy $2 million in MOPAR parts and not Ford parts annually. My GM Performance account is only a couple hundred thousand because I'm not advertising yet. Was planning on surpassing the MOPAR account by a good bit with Ford Racing parts, but I guess I'd have to be a son of a dealership owner who happens to work for aftermarket accessory company

 

I am guessing your car was right in front of mine and it was time to clock out. So I got left behind

How the hell do you have an ETA of 6/19 with your car built on 6/9. Has yours even left?

 

Don't know. ETA #1 was 6/25, then on Monday my dealer and Ford CS both said ETA #2 was 6/19.

 

You should have asked Ford CS if your car has left yet. They can tell you that.

 

Come to think of it, they did give me a cryptic status phrase, which promptly slipped my mind.

I will expect it when I see it.

It was said they were prioritizing the shipments of ramp 51 oldest to newest. When was yours built and put on the lot Kahdir?

OK so if mine was finished building on 4/20 and went on the ramp immediately after, then it was shipped out because it has a higher priority. We'll see how long it takes to get through one month of retail built cars before Kahdir gets his out.

It sounds like Kahdir might be at the back of the list in priority. I remember seeing 5/19's being shipped right out. It must have been around then when they fixed the line and didn't need to hit QC as hard.

I called my dealership to get an ETA, my car was ordered on 6/2

The salesman explained to me that they have earned allocation on 2 mustangs that will be built in week 26 (this week is 24) and that mine is one of them. He said something because they have sold 2 is why they earned allocation on 2.. what the crap does that mean?

I asked for my order number.. the only number he could give me that he said he was using to track my order was a 4 digit number, is that right? If I call Ford CS will they even be able to do anything with a 4 digit number?

 

Ask him if he can do retail order verification. If he CAN do it then you can get your VIN asap without concern for allocation.

Christie, that 4 digit order number is good along with the dealer code to call Ford CS and get the VIN (if they have it.)

Not sure about that, but as I understand it they only need a photocopy of your driver's license and some info to do ROV.
