Yeah he talked to the guy who does all the ordering and he also said he couldn't do the retail order, they said their ford rep was just there and he said the best they can do is week 26. I'm gonna call ford cs and see what kinda status they give me.

 

Actually that sounds right. My dealer told me that even I tried to place a new order (last Friday) that it wouldn't likely get built until July with a late August delivery. Granted, I think late August included a fudge factor but everything sounds about right. Just because something is ORDERED doesn't mean it can be put in tomorrow's build queue. There are apparently A LOT of these things being ordered. If the VIN sequence is any indication, there are around 34k of these things already.

Ask them what priority they gave it. The lower the better but you probably won't get below 10. (scale is 1-100).

Thoughts:
-Drives great
-Handles better than 08 Bullitt
-Hammer down and she pulls.......but you wont know it unless you look at the speedo, crazy smooth for a mustang.
-Dont know about the sound tube. I like the sound coming from the rear of the car not the left front of my dash
-Skip shift THIS WILL DIE!!!!!
-Only drove her a little. Had 3 miles and now like 22 or so. Took it out on the interstate once and boy is the cruise going to keep me out of trouble. 90 feels like 70 in the Bullitt.
-No clunking drivetrain is a major plus
-Sync is kinda cool. It doesnt like country accents much
-Seats are different for sure from the 08. Mine is offically laid against the back seat now (Do keep in mind I am all of 6'7" 350lbs
-Headrest fits me PERFECT. Suck on that shorties
-6 speed will take some work, reverse isnt bad at all but the gates can be tight.
-Clutch feels fine. Not to heavy not to light.
-Interior rips the 05-09 a new one with the 401A
-Stereo is fine for someone that doesnt listen to it much and would rather listen to the road. Otherwise it sucks

Ok back out to mess around some. Hope everyone stays safe and gets those cars in soon. Dealer is calling me as soon as their race red gt500 hits the floor so I can roll it. I will get pics of it also if I remember.

For now . The new ones are sitting in the garage. I figure next week it will get Jacked up so I can paint the calipers, wheel weights etc and slap them on. Ill post more pics. The factory 18" really do not look bad on the GB cars.


O by the way just for info. Ordered 5-7-10, built 6-3-10 and delivered 6-17-10.
I hope all the people that waited longer get an extra 20 horses for your troubles. I dont think you will be disapointed.


ETA: The oil dip stick placement SUCKS! I will be rigging something up there for sure. I know with the tower its really going to tick me off lol.

Ford CS says my car is in processing status with no VIN, so hopefuly I'll get one in 1 1/2 - 2 weeks since it's suppose to be built sometime then. I guess my car is moving a long at the same pace.. about a month after order for build

 

I hope you're right... my car was built on 5/5, and with all this movement as of late, my dealer said it's still at the plant.

 

Oh Christie... I remember those days. So long ago. What color are you going with?

 

I called Ford CS and they said my car was still in transit. I asked them the date of the last update on the system and they said they couldn't tell me.

But yesterday the lady was able to tell me the date of the last update. What the F? IMO don't talk to "Dan". I'll call back later and try to get someone else.

 

Barry, did you add the STB right at the dealer? And what wheels are you going with?
