Well, so far 2 of the 18 scrapped cars were built when ours were built. Sounds like someone on the line must have screwed up pretty bad that day or two. Oddly it was a Tuesday/Wednesday.

 

I got the topmost VIN on this list... still took 2 and a half months to get delivery from built date.

The waiting is almost over...

 

Rabbi Mike picked up his car on June 9th.

 

What freaks me out is that out of the ~20000 cars built there were only 18 scrapped and TWO of those were going to people on this forum.

 

Tell me about it. My salesman gave me my 7/15 ETA today.

 

I feel your pain bro, i see the same things happening to me.

 

Take this guy for example. How can that happened ? But lucky him if he gets it at it's ETA.

 

That is why I reordered with a different dealer. I didn't even have a VIN. Now I almost have the vehicle (hopefully)!

 

The 2nd dealer I ordered from which actually came through for me listened to my horrendous story about my first dealer and promised me a VIN within a week of ordering. He said he was going to call his rep and tell him my entire story because I got jerked around by dealer #1. It took 1.5 weeks to get the VIN but still pretty true to his word. He said a lot of it has to do with allocation and not the appearance of how large a dealer seems to be. Maybe between allocation and a phone call I lucked out?

Mine has been delivered (on the 14th, one day early)...just haven't taken it home yet. There were four dark spots in the paint that I want corrected before I sign the papers. Three more days, which is killing me. I did get to sit in it, though!

 

I think there are another 5 or 6 that were delivered that didn't participate... Solid Axle, 11GTStang, FivePointO, etc...

My car was put on a Rail Car today! Rail car#ETTX803496 CSX Line.

Ramp 5P is in New Boston, MI about 10 miles from AAI. They load cars up on car carriers at AAI (Convoy they call it) and bring them there to be loaded on trains.

Now lets jsut hope the train doesnt break! <I'm a pessamist at heart>

Nice shot of New Boston. My car left there 8 Jun, passed through Ohio on 10 Jun, and I expect it any day..........I hope!

 

My car is probably in the northeast corner (above the trees stuck between the tracks and the main rail line...) I can't imagine they move THOSE cars that often. LOL!

 

So even though my sticker says "convoy" it will be probably be shipped by train? F that.
