There's a thread somewhere around here where people found CSX's number and you just tell them your car number and they tell you where it is and where it's headed.

CN is a Canadian train company.

Waiting lines for health care, longer waits for shipping. LOL.

If the date is the one at the bottom of the sticker then it was today. You forget I live right outside Detroit so my car will not be delivered by rail but by car hauler most likely. My dealer has not been wrong yet so we will see!

Called Ford about an hour ago they said my car is completed. I asked them if they could tell me where it was physically. But could not or would not tell me. So just for the heck of it I asked when it was completed since I was told just 2 days ago it was on the assembly line. She told me 6/4... huh?? So was completed on 6/4 but was on the assembly line 6/14 weird. I have emailed my dealer asking for a rail car number or as much info as they could give me so I could make plans for when it comes in so we will see what happens next.

Build date is NOT at the bottom -- that's the PDF generation date. Build date is at the top. Look for the 1201006xx string of numbers at the top. That's your build date.

If your car was built on 6/14 you're getting WAY ahead of yourself with the rail car question.

Pull up your window sticker using your VIN.

http://www.inventory.fordvehicles.co...icker.pdf?vin=

(Add the VIN to the end)

Look at the top for the date in the sequence: 1201006xx where xx is the day in June it was scheduled to be built. If it IS 6/4, then you should be closer to shipping. If it's 6/14, slow your roll.

I hope you are right about your car. I called CS today and was told my car was built on june 14 and has a dealer ETA of July 10. I live in Saginaw so about 3 hours from the plant, I guess mine will be delivered by horse and buggy

The sticker says 6/3... The person I spoke with today said the car was complete back on 6/4 but the person I called on Monday said it was on the assembly line. So who is right?

HIGH probability that it was started on 6/3, finished on 6/4. Not LIKELY that it's still on the assembly line.

I didn't think AAI was operating on Fridays.

Good point.

But I still doubt it was on the line for 10 days after it started.

Its just one of those things that kind of takes a little wind out of your sails when they sound like they are just reading what ever is in front of them like robots. I do feel comfortable that it was completed on the 6/4 date I got today. So maybe the 6/21 ETA is good.

Unless you hear differently with some kind of concrete information, Gary, I'd say you're probably "mostly" OK. 6/21? Unless you have a railcar ID, I'm going to say improbable. Just tell your salesman to check vehicle visibility and get the status.

Have an email into the dealer so will see what happens. I dont think I will hear back from them until Friday tho. I was hoping once I got over 10 post I would be able to add a signature.
