I wonder if Ramp 5P is the same as Ramp51. From the many vehicle histories I've found it seems a car can sit at 5P anywhere from one day to three weeks.

Ack.

Well any status change is better than no status change.

Check on Friday, I read somewhere that VINs/Build Dates were only generated on Wednesday night or Thursday. It was a good two weeks I think before I got a VIN.

My latest status update from yesterday...

Awaiting Shipment Origin Received - At047 (Autoport Limited ) Ramp 5P, Flat Rock, MI Jun-08-2010, 13:50 ET

... I wanted to cancel this week and had my salesman start pricing out 2010 GT500's- until I found they have no incentives, rebates, discounts or financing . Guess I'm in it for the long run.

A train did leave on the 7th apparently, or at least it's getting loaded, at least if Coffejolt's update is any indication.

B5125477

Ordered May 5, 2010
Built May 24, 2010
Departed Dearborn June 1, 2010
Canadian Rail in Illinois June 2, 2010
Union Pacific Rail in Arkansas June 4, 2010
Houston Railyard June 7, 2010
Ft. Worth Texas June 8, 2010

SVT told me that once it reached Houston that it was at its' Intermediate Point and would be offloaded to a transporter and carried to my dealer. My dealer said that it was brought by rail to Ft. Worth and then awaiting rail transport to Garland Texas where it would be off loaded to transporter and taken to dealer.

Fingers Crossed.

Yeah, I am. I'm on travel right now and I am also very disillusioned about this entire process and the lack of information. If I get my deposit back on Friday I will either a) reorder right away from one of the guys here, b) wait for a week just to see if the car comes in, or c) give up on buying a new Ford ever again and buy a used 2011 in 2012 or 2013 or d) just go buy a 370Z.

I'm actually in a rented 2010 'vert V6 right now. Fun car. Not as nice as the 2011 V6 but still not bad.

Awaiting Shipment Origin Received - Mf47 (Autoport Limited ) Ramp 5P, Flat Rock, MI Jun-08-2010, 11:05 ET

How long can I expect from Ramp5p to delivery?

The funny thing about this status update is that I called my dealership at 3pm to check for any changes. My dealer looked it up along with the sales manager and the both said "Looks like there's no change, it's still Awaiting Shipment." I didn't realize they were reading "Awaiting Shipment" off the most recent status and that they didn't realize that this was a brand new status from hours earlier. It had been "In Transit Received" until then. I found out because JonnyB gave me my first message in weeks and it was different from all the others. I can't believe that I had to call my dealership back and tell them that the status update had changed. They looked at it and said "No, nothing has changed are you sure your online source is reliable?" I told them to look at the date of the most recent status and they said "Well I'll be damned, that's today!"

...
That's what bugs me about the dealers. Reading comprehension is not required in order to sell cars.

Nissan??????????

CD................don't give up, you won't be satisfied with the "Z". There are a lot of these 2011 cars on ebay right now and depending upon what color/style/options you are looking for, you might be able to fly in and drive one home. IMHO, that would be the ultimate way to get to know your car. I would have done that, but I wanted a color combo/vert that I knew wouldn't show up. I also wanted to try to get a car before the Tulsa Team Shelby meet this month.

My fingers are still crossed that it makes it here in time. It is literally less than 75 miles away from me on a rail car..............................sigh.

Finally after several weeks of "Awating Shipment" and "Back to/from Plant", I was told today by Doug at Autoport in Flatrock that my GT500 was just loaded on a railcar and is on its way to Montreal !!

Maybe next week will be "THE WEEK" !!!

True words that. Half of them get upset if you try to read the paperwork.

I'm not too far behind him on this one. I've been looking at the Z lately because I ordered 12 weeks ago (with a z plan) and it's still parked on ramp 51 where it's been for nearly two months. I can't find the combo I ordered on ebay or cars.com so I may need to give up on this one.

For reference: I ordered on May 10th. Got VIN 134819 on Monday finally. My window sticker has not been created yet online. I was told by dealer it should be delivered very end of June/early July. I'll keep hoping!

Hopefully you'll get yours in time Dan...

Doug is a great guy at Autoport in Flatrock, he is the UPS Autogistic (or wathever his title) railcar manager and last contact before your car gets on the rail. He gave me the railcar tracking number so I can track my car with the CN.

Now crossing my fingers that "this" is really hapenning !!

You guys talkin' about 370Zs better check out the forums. Waiting a couple of months for a Mustang pales compared to oil overheating that Nissan denies.
