Mine confirmed built-By dealer, Canadian CS, JonnyB.Canadian Customer service says in transit (talked to them today) as well as dealer. JonnyB reports at Ramp 51. I will beleive JonnyB!!

However seems a lot are starting to get delivered or in transit.

got a call this PM from my salesman with news that my GT was on its way. He'll have it prepped and cleaned up tomorrow and I'll take delivery after work. Can finally add some green up in the 4/15 build dates.

BTW, I went to Chartrand today, they had two Shelby side by side (2010 Grabber Blue and 2011 RaceRed 'vert)... I guess I am still in for the Grabber ... The owner is doing all he can to bring it ASAP.

finally got a different answer from customer service: The car has been returned to the plant and is on hold for an undetermined amount of time...

 

Uh oh... our VINs are pretty close together. . . and mine has been sitting for the last 6 days with no movement. . .

The funny part is I'm normally a patient person who would have no trouble waiting it out, but I've lined up a buyer for my current ten-year-old rattletrap willing to pay more than what the dealer offered as a trade-in...(he's just a guy who needs transportation for work, and he's getting really impatient because I told him he'd have my car three weeks ago)...

 

I just called Ford CS. They told me what I already know but offered to escalate it to a supervisor (to tell me the same thing most likely): "The car is awaiting shipment and your ETA is 5/14."

Um, yeah. Told them I was starting to look at Nissan 370z's and used 'vettes now.

 

I would prefer an answer like "We really don't know Sir"... than a new and "improved" funny story, everyday I call.

Todays answer for me is: Your car is in "special" quality control... !
I guess this is what AWAITING SHIPPING means... since April 14th...

I told them my dealer already got a 2011 Shelby that was ordered a week after mine...

People not really helpful down there at Ford IMO... they just stick to their canned responsed... not trying to dig much...

 

Special QC, to me, would mean that you're gettin' fixed. THEN you'll await shipment for eons.

 

Got my window sticker today! The sticker says my build date is June 03.

You got your car, Tom???? That's great news.

Ford CS went from amazingly helpful and cordial to essentially a brick wall of uselessness. I always fill out the phone survey at the end of the call with appropriate responses. 1 for Ford, 4 or 5 for the CSR, depending on how nice they were. Somehow I think there are karma points in there that affect my delivery date. . . or not.

 

Why does Montreal Ponies get his car built one day earlier??
