How exactly does it save money?
It's a piece of code

Those complaining, sorry... you aren't going to get a point across when I use them and see them everyday.
They help.

If it is so easy to turn the feature off, why is it not so easy to just turn on the lights when needed? It's just click of a switch. Right?

Why Don't You Ask The Hundreds of Thousands Of IDIOTS Out There Driving Without Their Lights On, When They Should Have Their Lights On???

If You Don't Want It Don't Buy The Car, Or Order One That Doesn't Have This Feature. Or Better Yet Stay In The Dark Ages!
While You Are At It. Try Buying a Mustang With Roll Up Windows, No Power Door Locks, No AC, And No Stereo, Since You're So Worried About Wiring Harnesses and Added Expense Features!

I Think Since We Have The Technology It Should Be a Standard Feature On EVERY CAR! To Me This Is A GREAT SAFETY FEATURE!

I Personally Have Owned At Least 5 Cars With This Feature, All Ford Products, and I've Never Had a Problem With It.... EVER!!! Not To Mention My Family, Almost Every Car They Have Owned Has Had This Feature, Going Back as Far as My Parents 73 Thunderbird.

While We're at it Most GM Cars Have This Feature as Standard,
Without The Option Of Even Turning It Off! So Why Should Ford Be Behind The Rest Of The Industry? Just Because YOU DON"T WANT TO FEEL LAZY?

I like DRLs, but I want the option of turning it off when I am cruising downtown in the middle of the day, or behind someone in a drive thru. I understand most people are not observant enough to turn them back on, but I am.

Actually living in Wisconsin and not having a garage for the car, a steering wheel warmer would be quite nice.

I'd find that much more useful than auto-headlights. Rain sensing wipers and heated washer fluid nozzles would also be on my list above auto-headlights.

The headlights. At reduced intensity.
