Yes... The way the option packages are set up you cannot have both the Pony Projection Lighting and Recaro seats so I had to choose one or the other...

I'm going to give them a few more weeks and see if I can get more comfortable with them. I've only had the car about 2 weeks. I'm only 6 feet and 185lbs, so it's not that they fit too snug or anything like that......

I drive my car to work everyday, 70 miles a day. I love my recaros! I say give them more time. If that doesn't work, i promise you someone will be happy to take them off your hands

If you want a cheaper alternative and need wider seats, consider the Corbeau CR1's in the "wide" configuration. They're less than $1200 (with brackets). You loose your side air bag and electric adjustments, but I think that's acceptable (especially since my base car doesn't have electric seats).

I think the recaros are nice, but I agree on the Corbeau CR1's.. I have them in my '05. I don't have the wide.. I'm 5'10, 175 lbs with broader shoulders and a relatively muscular build from my "old athlete days". My wife bought them for me as a gift and by not getting the wide I think it was incentive to keep me from getting fat as I age! Either way those seats hold me tight in place even when showing off going sideways from time to time.

I passed on the Recaro seats in the Roush. It was an option, but I went with the Premium interior package instead.

Well, I'm someone a little taller but lighter than you and my thin frame finds them snug too. Don't like the way they put pressure on my lats and thighs. I could see it bugging me on longer drives.

Perhaps they break in after a while and get more comfortable. But they are cool looking.

Not really made for comfort as top priority... They are sport seats capable of reasonable track capabilities. They are set up for 4-point harness. I am impressed at how comfy they are for track seats.

My wife loves the way my car hugs her every time she takes a ride with me.

Seeing that you have/had an '03 Cobra, how would you compare the new Recaro's to the '03-04 Cobra seats ??

I bought '04 Cobra seats from FRPP and put them in my '04 V6 and drove for 125k miles and thought they were a little too tight on my hips for long drives (I'm 5'10" 165 lbs. / 33" waist).

I was close to sealing a deal on a yellow Boss. I couldn't find a comfy position in the Recaro seats. This was why I ordered a Track Pack with the 401a premium seats.

They are snug and hold me in place but I do not feel like I am being squeezed in a bear hug in them. They do there job just like I expected them to

Also agree with this!

Can't wait to get a harness bar in and a 5-pt setup (although I wish the seat had a slot to support 5-pt...)

I want to make the switch so I can not deal with the seatbelt wearing on the upper bolster.

Doug-
Funny that you mentioned that....I feel the same way about my 03 Cobra's seats as I do the Recaros ! I've never felt completely at ease in my Cobra's seats, but I don't drive it frequently enough to let it bother me I guess. The '14 I bought is to be a semi-daily driver.
