4.5 second 0-60?
I have a '13 v6 with axlebacks, CAI and 93 hybrid tune. My recent best 0-60 time is 5.1 seconds. I have the stock gears, do you think a swap to 3.73's would get me to a 4.5 second 0-60 or would an aluminum driveshaft and/or lca's be needed?

i think it will be hard to drop 6 tenths without forced induction. that is assuming that your current set up will only get you a 5.1 and the run was not limited by traction. i dont follow the v6 to much but i should think a 5.1 would be a solid time. thats quick, i would think a set of gears will drop that time as long as you have traction and it should be lots of fun to drive.

I think you could dip into the 4's but I don't see a 4.5. I'm running a tune and a cai in a gt and I regularly hit 4.3's. Traction is a huge issue as the times drop. I would guess I can get better then a 4.3 but it would take a stickier tire. Right now I'm running a stock tire but in a 275 fitment.

American muscle got it down to 4.3 w/o forced induction, but they still did a ton of work on it. Not sure how accurate their numbers were but just some more info for you.

Guess I will find out Wednesday what the improvement is. This will be my last mod until March. Then it's an aluminum driveshaft, new wheels/tires and more. Was thinking a turbo or supercharger after my tax return/bonus check in April, but I think it's too early in the cars life for me to decide.

5.1 Seconds is amazing lol. Look at where V8s were just 5 years ago. My S2000 hits 60 in the high 5s. That Ford V6 is a beast.

I just know that "generally" I wouldn't choose a drag radial for slaloms and road course work.

"Ronin" - best chase scenes in a movie - ever.
I'm a little surprised they're getting such good handling with the NT 555 DR's on the back, does anyone know how that tire would compare to the regular 555 or the 555 Extreme? I don't really know what the exact differences are with those, besides the tread depth when new... ![Dunno](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

Now that could just be bvecause I have what amounts to a schizophrenic set-up on my car (305/45R18 NT05Rs x 255/45R18 KDWS) and that creates some interesting handling.
Drag radials are pretty sticky but the sidewall is optimized for getting the car to hook and down the track in as short a time as possible so they are closer to a regular passenger car tire in that steering response and high lateral loads are secondary
I suppose on a road course or on roads that aren't particularly demanding tires like the NT555 DR are passable, but compared to an equally sticky tire that is purpose built for a road course or auto-cross they are less capable.

Are you on the stock tires? Are you spinning a good deal when punching it from a dead stop. 5.3 is a great time but I thought 3:31 gears the 11 plus v6 could run 5.1 to 5.3, 0-60 MPH.

Don't drive yourself too crazy trying to set record times on the stock tires. They are "less than ideal" for traction. ![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
My GT came with 235-series all-season tires, and they're a very poor choice for a high-horsepower car.
