32 RWHP to be found with new headers on 5.0
#21
in other words, they(stock) are about like using shorty headers. we all know what pulse tuned longtubes with merged collectors can do. especially 1 7/8" for HP and 3" collector for torque. the exhaust ports are deficient because of packaging reasons. the engineers needed round ports for the headers to work. the exhaust is where we need help.
im not sure we need larger than an 80mm throttle body. larger MAF/filter and a tune to use it plus full exhaust and VCT tuning is the key.

I agree it needs a bigger MAF/Filter/Airbox. 800 cfm or so is just as restrictive for the 2011 5.0 as 550 cfm was on the '05 3V.
The 2011 Tune seems to be much less handicapped than the 2005. Im doubtful we will see huge gains here but every little bit helps. Mainly from a little leaner mixture + raised rpm (required for best ET's) in my opinion. Timing is likely to be closer and it appears to have less throttle rate limiting.
The stock 2011 5.0 does not use VCT at full throttle. The cam timing is locked.
