I get 21ish on long freeway drives with 3.73's doing 75 - 80 so you numbers make all the sense to me. However daily driving comes in around 15... sucks! And, that's with very very little aggressive driving. If I'm really enjoying on ramps, passing and back roads... 12's.

Im on the fence of what to buy as my next Mustang. I'm finding great deals on 2005-09 GTs... but it's going to be a daily so i'm curious if it's worth springing the extra cash for a fairly equal 2011 V6

and I can tell you straight-up that I get 26.5-27.5 real world round trip including everything on my half-highway, half back-roads cruising commute. This is according to the computer and also verified the old fashion way several times. Once I add in some around-town driving it comes out to about 26 during the weeks when I am mostly commuting. My commute is roughly 25 miles highway at about 70 MPH plus about 25 miles cruising at 40-50, very few stop lights, no stop & go. I generally drive pretty easy with the flow of traffic, but do take the opportunity to have some fun on the on-ramps when possible. Based on what I know about my own driving habits and results, I doubt you can do much better than this with the 4.6 V8; but 26-27 ain't too shabby!
