Gt500 exhaust

Wow! Just hooked up gt500 stock exhaust on ma GT. No performance added other than sound but ****! I loved driving my GT before but now I "LovE" driving it now :-) I feel the need to turn off the radio, the exhaust is music enough already. American muscle website (approx $265-275). Only downside is tip is not rolled...but I don't care :-) recommend this to anyone on a budget.

Here's some pics (not sure it'll help). Had to remove/loosen (pan or torque bar...not sure what it's called) and a metal beam/bar screwed in one end (driver side) and rotates on the other (passenger side). Used jack (pressure) to replace pan/torque bar. Anyways hope this was helpful...can't stop smiling when driving.

Will have to get pictures of mine, those just don't look like the 4" tips I have. Mine seem to fill up the slot more than these appear to, maybe just the angle of the picture?

Agreed I noticed that too.

Considering the low cost (under $300 most places) I think this is the best mod out there.

With my 08 I actually fired up the car with one stock and one GTA muffler to compare. GTA was much louder and throatier.

Silly question, but are they available with a rolled tip? I'd like to make these the second mod to my car, right after the JLT oil separators.

There isn't an OEM version with rolled tips. You'd have to get custom work done since the tips are welded on.

The earlier pics' angles did make the GT500s look smaller than 4" tips. That side by side pic is the first I've seen that comes close to doing them justice versus seeing them in person. Nice work

I've had mine on for two weeks now, and it's like falling in love every time I turn the key. I feel as though there's this intangible quality to the tone at WOT that sounds like old school muscle but incredibly modern and sophisticated at the same time.
