2014 V6 + performance package top speed/driveshaft issues
if i hadnt of needed to replace my stock drive shaft anyway i probably wouldnt have gotten it since i dont drive at high speeds and i dont have more power than the stock can handle. im glad it seems that i made a good choice getting the american muscle brand one though. i was going to get the driveshaft shop one since it actually had a brand name and was a 3.5 instead of 4 inch but it was out of stock when i ordered it about 3 hours ago but it seems to be in stock now.
I can't really tell any difference on the actual ride but think the acceleration had improved since the rotational mass is less. The main reason I wanted an aluminium driveshaft is too be able to roll with the big dogs. I won't get punked at 150 mph now. Lmao. I can tell you she is smooth at 140 mph.

i went 155 in my camaro which was the speed limiter on those and i must say its scary as crap. i think i got bama to set my limiter at 120 and i never ever go over 100 since i have a carbon fiber hood thats suppose to have hood pins in it but i didnt use hood pins.
My buddy took me for a ride in his 13 v6 mustang with full bolt ons, aluminum driveshaft, tune, and some 285's on the rear 275 front. On an old backroad we went 150-160 and it was so smooth. **** quick too! He definitely hangs with the 2010 slightly modded gtʻs no problem and gave a guy in a 5.0 a run for his money! Granted the 5.0 was a stick and i dont think the guy knew how to shift quick. Could hear em get hung up on the gear change.
(Racing was done at a local airstrip, not on the street)

Well i was surprised tbh. Had a CAI, full exhaust from headers all the way back, trottle body spacer, one pc driveshaft, 3.73 gears, some good meats on each corner, was running a steeda tune, and a good hand on the shifter
The new 5.0's sound great too but the note is just a shade higher than id like it sometimes
IMO the best sounding mustangs are in this order...
4v cobra/mach > 2v GT 99-04 > 3v 4.6 05-10, and old 5.0.
The new 5.0 has this high pitch buzz I haven't seen anyone get rid of with aftermarket exhaust, and the sound of a 2v GT with a nice setup is so throaty I love it. can't quite get that sound on my 3v but pretty **** close.
