12.63 is definitely respectable for a full bolt on v6, it's no 12.34 though

There will come a time where a v6 will surpass and old v8 naturally, it's just the way of cars.
No shame in that, it's supposed to happen with newer cars.
But just to be clear, there are no bolt on v6's running 12.3's and there are no bolt on v6's running 11's as there are with 05-09 GT's. Respectable yes! and of course the driver plays a HUGE role.

You're right man. 12.34 out of a 3V 4.6? That's pretty **** respectable too.

Watching that video on the V6 makes me wish spring would hurry up and get here.

If so, I would be more than happy to give it a shot in my little 3.7 vs your Gt.

Me running at one drag strip doesn't mean crap against someone who is running at another drag strip in different track conditions, different weather conditions and different altitude conditions. That's not how racing goes. Typically, two cars line up next too each other via track , same track at same time, same conditions and go.

I'm not even saying you won't win but it will be close that's because the 3.7 is awesome and bada$$. Regardless , I'm real happy with my almost 300 rwhp little 3.7 sixer.
My car runs 11's because I beat a guy who says he runs 12's.

Lol. Sweet. If 2008 Gt's from the factory are running 12.3 1/4 mile then my buddy can't drive his for crap. He has a 93 tune on is 2007 Gt and my 3.7 beats his every time.

No that's modded... they don't' run 12.3's from the factory they CAN run 13.2-13.3 with a good driver stock.
Just remember most people can't drive, unless it's automatic because there is really nothing for you to do but put your foot down and hold on.

Lol. That's true. Many can't drive manual that great. Even 13.2 for stock is very good. You said you have all bolt on mods now, what are they. If you don't mind me asking what are your dyno numbers looking like with your mods?

This was my last dyno in 2012...

mods at that time...
C&L Racer CAI, Pypes LT's, O/R-X, Steeda UDP's, CMCV Deletes, 4.10's.

Should have a dyno day sometime this year.
I just added hot rod cams, and haven't been to the track with them yet.

there a tons of people that have spend tens of thousands of dollars in there engines and drag race a ton yet they dont tell anybody what they run and some of them dont even know what they run. a lot of grudge racers dont know what they run. its what i do with my car thats pretty much stock other than a few things and its fun to see guys faces when their v8 car gets beat by a 'little v6'.

To each their own but I can't understand not wanting to know what you run on the 1/4, everytime I go out to race I am there to beat my best time really. Not concerned with who I lose to and always have fun, but yea definitely into my times.

I guess I hang with other racers, I've never heard some answer "what do you run?" with oh I beat that guy... and that guy... and that car over there.

LOL

that is true too. grudge racing seems to be big around here and people will want to race you but they wont tell you whats done or pop the hood. a lot of them put down around 500hp yet sound stock and look stock for the most part except for wide tires on widened stock rims so that even they look stock.

Sounds just like dirty street racing, run what you brung but don't tell nobody!
I would imagine they are just doing it to get the upper hand on competition and already know what they run on the 1/4.
Doesn't sound like something I would be interested in, I don't do well with shady people.

some know what they run and just dont let anybody else know but a lot dont even know what they run. i want to know what i run but just havent had a chance to get to the track when they are doing times. people where im from put nitrous on everything tho. they have lifted silverados and f150's all stock performance wise except they throw a 100+ shot on it.

Your car from the factory has 40 more torque than my 11 3.7 but with your mods your 74 more rwtq than mine. Your about 30 rwhp up from me but that torque is what kills me. I only got 276 rwtq compared too your 350 rwtq. Your torque is around what a stock 5.0 would dyno at. Very nice. I would imagine those hot rod cams will boost your power up a good bit.
