2014 Shelby GT Fuel Stab/Preser
2014 Shelby GT Fuel Stab/Preser
Does anyone use fuel stab/preserver in their Mustangs (specifically a 2014 Shelby GT) if the vehicle is mostly unused in the winter?
I just want to make sure that this additive will not harm the fuel system and/or the engine...
Thanks.

By "mostly unused" I meant to say that it will be used infrequently during the winter months in New Jersey, may taken for a short ride on weekends when the temperature is above 40F.
Sorry for the confusion...

I'm in the same boat Martin.
I'm in Michigan, and I might take the Mustang out for a short ride around the neighborhood if there is no salt on the streets and it's warmer. Overall I'm going to fire up my 5.0 once a month in the winter. I asked my dealership about fuel stabilizer, and they said not to use it. I read in the manual Ford doesn't recommend using any fuel additives either. So I just put 93 octane in my tank and call it good.
