Originally ordered a 2013 GT500 in April of 12. Order was messed up and reordered threw another dealer. That order was canceled by ford. Too late in the year. Reordered in November hoping for a 2014.

My dealer messed my order Up also, Man you would think they know whats what. New dealer New order and Ford must be throwing these together I hope their doing a good job.

Mine may be the 28th now as well. Haven't had an update in a few days. I will definitely take pictures. It would be awesome if we got them the same day. Definitely want them to take an extra careful time detailing it. Plus if it is raining or snowing I will not be driving a gt500 in that for the first drive. Just screams *car in ditch * lol. I like about 15 mins from the dealer.

When I was shopping my car in January only 2 out of 12 were even willing to take an order. Here are some of the responses I got:

• "Working on it now" and no response after that.
• "Come in to the dealer" from the Internet Sales Team!
• "How about an F-150? or a Hyundai Sonata?"
• "I spoke to my manager and he said that we can not build a 2014 for another 90 days!" -- 8 January 2013
• "There is not any rebates or incentives available for the 2014 Mustang yet" (quoted but <$1000 off MSRP)
• "Let me know if you want to order a vehicle." This after I sent the detailed order to him for a price.
• "Frankly it could be a computer issue, we have been having a host of problems this weekend. Will get it together and get the info to you ASAP." -- 5 January 2013. Still waiting!
• The rest said they were not yet able to order a 2014 (this in January 2013).

The dealer I ended up ordering from was superb. On top of it all the time, responded fairly quickly to questions, settled easily on a complete price before I drove 70 miles to formally order, no shenanigans.

My salesman emailed me back last night. Looks like my car will be here towards the end of next week. No exact date given though. Hopefully the weather is nicer by then. If I remember correctly, that would be inline with your original ETA of 3/15.

 

I was fortunate to go with a really good dealer as well. The only hiccup was that when I spoke to them and we wrote up my order on the evening of 1/3 they didn't realize that Ford had already closed off 2013 orders. They tried to put my order in on 1/4 and found that out. Because of the color change from Red Candy to Ruby Red they had to contact me before putting in an order for a 2014. That delayed entry of my order for 1 business day, which I suspect did not affect my eventual delivery date. They have been great to work with.

My window sticker just went live today and the blend date is 120130312, does that mean the car will start to be built on that day or that's when it will be completed by? Now reality hits that this is really happening and need to hustle to sell my car!!!!

 

Take a look at the dates in my signature. My build date was 2/11. That should give you a better perspective.

 

New Here. Ordered 2014 Shelby GT500 on February 21. Oxford white with black stripes; navigation package; etc. -- expecting fun all around. Unfortunately I have no information on build date, VIN or expected delivery yet. Is the delivery time about 8 - 10 weeks after placing the order for a GT500? I spend most of my spare time thinking about getting delivery and driving it!

 

Yep, 3/15 was the date my salesman gave me. Deysha is checking on it , so will let you know any updates. We seem to be dodging the white stuff here so far today - dry all morning and just some rain mist now - dropped forecast to 1-3 inches - maybe it will just clear off all that salt so i won't have it all over the brandy new wheels when I pick it up,ha!

 

Deysha just made me smile! Car is ready to ship! Revised ETA at the dealer is now 3/21 - a full 6 days earlier than expected! SHWING!!!

Deysha just gave me some bad news. Instead of an ETA of march 12 it got moved to march 19 :/ another week later. Hopefully the wait goes by fast!!
