Just checked mine this morning and it's official, my car exists! Production was completed yesterday and it is now awaiting shipment. Unfortunately that also means it's sitting outside about to get snow dumped on it. The snow itself doesn't bother me, but someone dragging a brush across the brand new perfect paint to remove the snow when they load it does...please just let it melt off, it'll be fine...

I just got an ETA of May 22. I called my dealer and he said no way. I am not sure who to believe but if it shows on May 22 the will be 16 weeks.

If you are going off the test site, dont, it is just that a test site! What ever Deysha tells you will be the most accurate as she WORKS for Ford.

I guess. It has just been such a drawn out process. I have started looking at Camaros and thinking about canceling the order. I had a trip planned for mid April and I really wanted to be driving a new car. I am friends with my dealer and don't want to leave them hanging. Not sure at what point you can cancel an order.

You can cancel anytime you want. You haven't signed papers, so you can walk away at anytime, even after it shows up at the dealer.

But these guys are friends. I don't want to stick them with a high option v6 that they might have trouble moving. If I cancel I want to cancel with Ford.
Not sure when that can happen. My build date looks to be a month off.

Couldn't say, I would stick it out. Yeah you can go buy a Camaro tomorrow, but it's not what you really want...if it was, that's what you'd be waiting on right now.

Patience is a virtue. What was your priority code for your order?

Priority was 19 I believe. Deysha had told me said something about "IF" your dealer has allocation. I bought from a real small dealership and I believe that has impacted the length of build time. I like the Camaros, but they all have the dash screen with backup camera and heated seats. So no waiting. But i really like the feel of the Mustang. I guess I could search the country for a Mustang but then I would have to take to my friends dealership when I wanted service. I think I will probably wait but I am frustrated.
This is my vent space.

Speaking of patience being a virtue, it kind of stinks that it will take 3.5 weeks for my car to go from the holding lot in Michigan to Minneapolis, lol. (I realize this is because they need to make sure they have a full load coming this way)

It's kind of exciting knowing that the car now exists!

A camaro??? I'm sorry in my opinion those are giant ugly turds....to keep this pg that's what I'll say. Just grab a mustang sitting on a dealer lot or have your guy transfer one in if you don't want to wait. just don't go camaro

It will be worth the wait, hopefully it will get there sooner rather than later.

it will be worth the wait to get exactly what you want, that's why most of us here ordered rather than pickup what 2 as sitting on the lot. 2-3 months is worth the wait for a car that you will have for years if not your lifetime!

I just came from my dealer and he showed me the Mustang that was order a week before mine was.....it showed up today and was not due in until 4/10! The guy who bought it was there but he is not picking it up until 4/15, for obvious reasons. He called the sales guy a liar when he first showed up and I went to look at the car with them and he was like "I'll be ****, I stand corrected" lol. I'm Hoping mine does the same thing so I don't miss out on my private cash! Dealer told me as long as the car is produced he can push the paperwork through so I'm hoping. Hey Ford just build it, then you can take 2 months to get it here for all I care! I'm not impaitence about getting it, just about saving money.

Yeah. I think part of my problem is the fact that I see people who ordered later getting their car and I am looking at April 14 for a build date.

But it's like everything else. When I get the car I will forget the wait.

I got a message from Deysha today and she confirmed what the test site says, 4/14 build date, and May 31 delivery date, but she did say subject to change, but that is what the site states. So it looks like it wont even go in to be built for almost 4 weeks. My priority is 01, so while it was going good, something is slowing them all down it seems. does anyone know what the numbers next to blend mean? mine says 6056. above is the build date showing 120140414 for 4/14/14.

Guess our cars will be on the same line together that day!
