2013 Ordered/Built/Delivered Thread
PICTURES!!
Sorry for the wait! I've had an incredibly busy few days and this is the first time since I got the car that I've had a chance to sit down at the computer.
I picked the car up Friday at about 12:30 and so far it has been FANTASTIC! This was the dealership's first 2013 and they apparently have 2 more on order, but they won't be in for another 4-6 weeks. The car currently has 140 miles on the odometer (it had 7 when I got in it at the dealer) so I've been doing a lot of driving. It's very comfortable, easy to drive and gets A LOT of attention. So far, it's the only 2013 I've seen on the streets. Grabber blue is definitely an eye catching color and I've lost track of the amount of heads I've seen swivel to follow the car when I'm driving.
Here's a quick review of the 2013 features:
-The Recaro's are fantastic! They're very comfortable and supportive. The first time I drove the car, I drove it over 100 miles from my dealer in my hometown back to school (I'm a college student) and by the end of the drive I felt as if I could just keep going. Everyone at the dealership kept asking if I'd be willing to sell them. I couldn't help smiling whenever I was looking left or right to make a turn and I'd catch a glimpse of the seats in my peripheral vision. They really are that visually attractive!
-The Track App screen is a really cool feature. It's fun to look at all the info it gives you. Hats off to Ford, they did a really good job. I haven't done any 0-60's or anything as I'm trying to take it easy for the first few hundred miles but I'm sure I'll get to that soon enough. My only complaint is that the right arrow button is a little hard to hit. It almost sits underneath the horn. I often hit the up or down arrows by accident. I have very small fingers too.
-Hill Start Assist is quite possibly the best thing ever invented for a car. I learned to drive stick mostly on 60's-70's sports cars and starting on a hill was always a pain. It makes starting off in first on a hill from a stop sign/red light a breeze. If you have the clutch in and the car in gear, take your foot off the brake and the car won't move an inch. Shift out of gear to neutral and the car will roll just like a normal manual transmission car.
Now for some pictures! Didn't have time to take too many since I was in a rush to get back to school for several obligations so I just snapped a few with my iPhone. I'm sure I'll take some better ones with my camera later.

I saw that color in person for the first time yesterday, and you're totally right, it's exceptionally difficult to catch the true color in photos, it's really a fantastic color!
Congrats on the Boss!

thank you. Ford finally made the back end of the 10+ stang look appealing. I didnt mind the back end of my 10 but it just looks so much better without any black plastic.
