Are you sure your dealer had an allocation when he ordered yours? They can still place an order without an allocation, but it will never get built without one.
You need to ask the dealer if he had an allocation for your order and if he starts tap dancing around the allocation question, I would try to find one on a lot or reorder the car from a dealer that has a known allocation.
Your chances of finding one on a lot that is fully loaded are in your favor,

 

Oh wow I'm guessing you dealer didn't have allocation for that car, give them a call and see!

 

I sent you an update. Also, remember you have a GT500 on order not a regular Mustang. It will not schedule as fast as them.

It still has the same ETA and it has not shipped.

Did you get a DORA with an order number?

 

I was told that a DORA doesn't guarantee you have an allocation.
Maybe someone with more experience can chime in and confirm or deny.

 

I understand. But if they didn't even get a DORA, I'd start being suspicious!

13' GT500 ordered April 18, 2012, To plant and Locked May 10th....nothing since.

I would love to hear from Ford when they plan to build this car? I don't understand the silence from them especially since they've had the order in their system going on 5 months now.

I've ordered many new cars from Ford over the years most recently a 2011 and I've never seen anything like this.
If you could get some information regarding it's build date it would be much appreciated.

What build quarter did your dealer tell you? My dealer told me upfront 4th quarter build and that's when I'll get mine.

 

When you called SVT, what did they tell you about the status of your car?

 

GT500 cars are not allocated by quarter. They are allocated by region. If your dealer told you the allocation is for a certain quarter, either he doesn't understand the GT500 allocation system any better than my dealer.

Boss 302 cars are allocated by quarter. Better make sure they ordered your car using the correct allocation.

I have not called SVT the only info I got was from my dealer and his rep saying it should be a Sept build. I still haven't heard anything "official" from my dealer, Ford or Deysha other than it is not scheduled yet.

My dealer/zone is in Fairfield County Connecticut. My dealer said there are some dealers in the area that still haven't even received their first allocation yet, although he had back in June. He said Ford won't ship any 2nd allocations until all first allocations have been delivered. That's just crazy and unfair IMO.
