looking at some of you guys order dates and build times has me confused, i ordered mine back in march and still waiting

 

I haven't heard from Deysha but my dealer called me this morning and told me the ETA is now 7/1. Seriously... a month for the car to get to Tampa, FL!!! Went from 6/14 to 6/24 to 7/1.... the car was built by 6/1/

 

hell i would be happy if i just had a vin, i ordered march 31 and havent heard anything other than "on hold"

 

Hey I ordered mine at the end of January and was told 4th quarter build. So there is no VIN or anything for mine yet. Ask your dealership what quarter build they were promised.

 

I'd being looking for a new dealer then. That's not right

 

Hi Deysha, can you help me on getting some order info? Looking for info on order #1111 from Asheboro ford. I was told the order for my Boss was a Q3 build but that it may get moved up the chain. Any info you can give me would help. This is my second Mustang in two years, other was a GT 500 which I have since sold. I waited many months for the Shelby so I'm used to waiting for my cars and accept it as part of the process. Information helps. Thanks a bunch.

 

That sounds miserable, hope thats not the case.

 

It depends on alot of variables. Like what style you ordered, options, etc. How Ford decides that I have no idea. I know the Boss has appeared to be taking much longer than the standard V6's, and V8's. The waiting is the hardest part. Whoever said patience is a virtue never ordered a new Mustang.

I know this doesn't help, but it took 11 weeks when we ordered our nothing special 2010 GT.

I so wanted him to order a convertible like mine but he said no....and it is HIS car after all!

 

mine is sterling gray,821aA package, svt track package, electronics package,shaker pro audio, recaro.

 

When I placed my order, my dealer advised me that it populate as some term. He explained that it meant there is a vehicle already slated to be built within 1 option of what I ordered. He stated it normally takes 6-8 weeks but in this case he said it could be 3-6 weeks. So I guess they slot that vehicle that is already into the mix to become my order. I want to say he said VIN Fill but it doesn't sound right. I guess there is a term for this scenario.

 

Got my window sticker this morning too, and I'm also Jun 11 with an estimated Jun 20 delivery. Let's hope the numbers stick!
