as I read your posts, I see that you are getting VINs.
Our dealership gave us a build date of 11 Jun 12 but no VIN...
Can someone help?
My husband would think I am a genius if I could get it for him. He is going thru Mustang withdrawal now that his '04 sold so quickly. Maybe I will offer to let him take a spin in my '03 GT Convertible....hmmm

How do I go about getting it? The dealer said they did not receive one and may not before car is delivered
We heard that if you have the VIN, it can be tracked thru the building/delivery process....true?

If you want your VIN you can contact your dealer for it. I had my VIN after approx. 7 days of ordering. My delivery date keeps getting pushed back, almost to the point of not wanting the car this year anymore... I really hope some good news comes soon because it's been sitting in a rail car for 2 weeks and hasn't moved yet... Which could mean another 2-4 weeks to get to Canada. I wonder if the dealer will allow me to pick it up from the states...

Hello all, just wanted to share an email i received from the salesman i placed my order with..... (i placed my order April 30th, and have not yet received a schedule/vin/etc etc)
"Allocation is usually not an issue on a customer-specific order such as yours.* The priority on your Mustang is set to 11 out of 99 but that number applies only within our dealership, not across all dealers.* Family Ford has no other Mustang orders with an equal or higher priority than yours.* ******

I understand your concern.* Sometimes due to a specific set of options or other reason it can take several weeks for the factory to schedule an order.* The General Manager here is tracking your order and assures me we will have scheduled build date soon."
