I read a story from April 1st that the Mustang plant was idled the very next week because they had 116 days worth of inventory which is twice their optimal level. Wondering why orders are taking so long or if it just normal to produce a car in that time. I thought i read at the Michigan Truck plant it takes 16 hours to make it.

I hope your delivery goes better than mine.
My car arrived in Denver 4/28/12 at the rail yard. My last ETA was 5/4 and still no car. Now when I call Ford Customer Service, they say call the dealer because they no longer have an ETA. Dealer says anything from it’s on a truck for delivery to it has not arrived in Denver yet.
I sent Deysha a PM hoping for some help. I’m trying to be patient, but come on someone has to know where my car is.

Dealer called tonight and said I "should" get my car tomorrow...but he hasn't actually seen it...and he did mention both the truck and the train...uh oh......maybe my car is hanging out with yours!?

OK.. I'm 95% sure I'm finally going to settle with my dealer tomorrow and have them order my GT Premium. I see from other posts it will be a lot of waiting.
Can anyone please summarize what I can expect and anything I can ask/tell my dealer to make things smoother? Any comments would be appreciated. Of course I will be getting my details to our good friend Deysha once I have them. What else? Thanks!

"I did check on your order and it was sent into the plant yesterday for production to build by May-15-2012 and it shows an ETA of May-27-2012 to your dealer, which is subject to change."

My 2013 & 1999 Mustangs
Here's my new 2013 V6 Manual Trans Red Candy Mustang that I just got 2 days ago after waiting 7 weeks on order from the manufacturer. It has the tape stripe deleted at the dealer. 2.73 axle. Smoked tail lights with LED ropes, led on HID front lights, tinted windows, leather wrapped stearing wheel, spoiler.
I also have a 1999 V6 Manual Trans Blue Mustang with only 75k miles that I am original owner of also.

Ordered 13 Shelby on March 7th and still processing...Was told last mid week I would have VIN# on Friday.Friday came and received email saying plant filled up this week.Monday I received call from salesman ford was only going to build units with Track pack option this month, so he said if I added TP that would get me in this month if not it would be 1st to mid June..So add $3000 option or wait..I offered $2000 but with no luck..So here I set waiting. Thought of cancelling my order and getting a 13 Boss and having dealership add S/C for more power..Any thoughts?
