Hey Jason523, are you sure you're on the right site? 4 out the total 5 posts you've made, you've mention the ZL1.

I can't wait to see a 2013 in person! I'm still undecided about putting those taillights on the beautiful Lava Red GT I bought from Brian's dealership.

Thanks for counting. Did you actually read my posts? Does it say anywhere that I'm even considering a ZL1 (which I'm not)? I'm just using that car as a basis for comparison as to how much the 2013 GT500 may cost. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I'd assume Ford might be doing the same thing to an extent. I think it's logical.

Question for you guys paying invoice for your cars. Are your dealers adding doc fees on top of the invoice price or are you paying invoice plus tax and nothing else?

The rep I got said they dont use DORA at their dealership...? And that his ETAs could vary a week either way...? And he was clueless about a Ford relationship with Covercraft. Did I get a crappy rep? lol

To my knowledge, DORA is standard. The person sounds uneducated, or untrustworthy.

I'd ask to see a DORA - and I'd be asking my dealer a lot more questions if I couldn't get one. I requested that my DORA be e-mailed to me. I received the DORA two days after I ordered the car. Sure enough, they had forgotten the "spoiler delete" which WAS noted in the original Vehicle Order Confirmation. Easy fix (and yes, I requested a copy of the CORRECTED DORA be sent to me after that) but without the DORA check I'd be waiting 3 months for a car, then going to pick it up on my happy day - AND IT WOULD BE WRONG!

I agree, the right dealer would take care of all that without asking. Mine emailed me a copy ASAP without even asking me and even had his coworker call me when he was on vacation to tell me they will keep me posted every step of the way. I know I made the right choice. Don't be afraid to bug them, you are spending over $30k on a car, you deserve to be in the loop about your car.

"Buyers of a new Porsche can opt to pick up at one of two Porsche assembly plants: Zuffenhausen (where the 911, Boxster and Cayman are built) or Leipzig (home of the Panamera and Cayenne). Regardless of the model, buyers can choose either location, and each offers its own benefits. Both include a factory tour, but Zuffenhausen includes the recently renovated Porsche Museum, while Leipzig includes the opportunity to lap the test track or take a Cayenne off-road.

Porsche can also schedule a photo session on the grounds of either factory, and will arrange for temporary insurance and plates – and even winter tires if needed – allowing its customers to spend a couple weeks in Europe getting to know their new car. Once the honeymoon is over, Porsche will ship the car to the U.S."

if Ford only shipped the car to Germany for a few weeks and let us play on the Autoban and then shipped it back to our front door....

now that would justify those delivery fees.

Deysha, do the expected first delivery dates apply to GT premium couple also?

Thanks!

Albany Auto Show at the Times Union Center next weekend (March 9-11)! And it is confirmed there will be 2013 Mustangs. However, the website right now only says "2013 Mustang V6" :/. Like I said in a previous thread about the Capital Region, people around here have very dull and basic tastes in cars. So it would not surprise me if we only see a couple of V6s. Regardless its gonna be my first time seeing the 2013s in person so you can expect me to take a bunch of pics.

Did get a VOC, but I had to ask for it and good to know about the DORA. I'll get back in touch with the sales manager. Thanks folks.

Hey bud, I can't speak for other dealers, but if anyone buys a car from me, its the price, plus our tag fees. Those fees are either $167.50 for a transfer or $207.50 for new tags. In those fees are online state fees so the registration gets to the customer faster. We submit it all online and print the registration in house. It costs a little more but people like having the "owner's card" sooner. Also is our $129 doc fee. That is state max (some dealers in PA are in the hundreds and they can't be, but they do it anyway ).If someone is a Plan buyer (X-Plan for example), the doc fee drops to $100 per X-Plan rules.
