so the Ford Canada website has the builder online for the 2013 Mustang and I went on there and built one with exact same options as mine, but it came out a couple grands more expensive than the MSRP on my build.

And then i looked at the options in detail and checked against the canadian order guide, and found out that the Electronics Package is required when I have the Interior Upgrade Package.

However when I made my order, neither me or my dealer noticed that in the order guide. and the order was submitted with all the options and packages selected, but without the Electronics Package (which should be required based on the options I have). Now i wonder if this is gonna cause some kind of trouble.

I actually don't want the electronics package on there, but I do want the glassroof and leather interior, which requires the Interior Upgrade Pack, which in turn requires the Electronics Pack...the order was submitted successfully though.

 

There is an error on the website. There's another thread on here, or possibly a post in this thread, that was posted the same day the Canadian website went up and people pointed that error out. I think you just have to wait till they fix it.

 

Just got back from the Albany Auto Show. Unfortunately there was only 1 2013 mustang. It was a red candy (I think) V6 Vert with whatever package includes that bright steel grill (the 1 in the commercial). A little disappointed i didn't see a 5.0 but at least I got to see the new head and taillights in action. Got a couple of good pics and will post a thread tomorrow. Not home and i gotta good buzz goin right now. One thing I will say is that the rear plastic cladded license plate area (my biggest complaint) was not half as bad as it looks in pictures. Definitely will be easy to get used too. The LEDs on this car are gorgeous.

 

Glad to hear that! That license plate area is also my single biggest complaint. Was already thinking/hoping there'd be some sort of an after-market fix. A big reason that I opted for the sterling gray was that I thought it'd look best with the black tail (lights and license plate).

 

I'm really starting to think if I don't try to convert some of the 2013 features onto my car, and depending on how sales are, I might entertain the option of going with a later build 2013 with all of the options on my 2011, as well as the track pack, Recaros, and Electronics package.

It's a strong possibility it could happen. Still a number of things I want to find out first.

 

 

Yeah Overboost, do it! I had a smokin' deal lined-up on a sterling gray '12 but I decided to wait - the track pack and recaros brought me to the '13. Plus, I figured once I saw a '13 pass me at night on the highway, I'd be kicking myself for buying the '12...

The fuel cost varies depending on when the car was invoiced to how much the gas costs per gallon at the time and the ADV (advertisement) should be the same. There is no column for X-Plan break down, but its just a smidge above invoice on each option. Hope this helps.

 

Hey UltraKla$$ic can you tell me more about that $1,000 customer rebate? I requested a brochure (haven't received it yet), maybe it's in there?

The $1,000 rebate was in the Ford system for all of about 6 days and then it went down to $500. For anyone who has ordered the car before I believe Feburary 3rd (I think) the dealer can give the $1,000 rebate, they just have to email a copy of the VINCENT to program HQ to get it authenticated and get paid. If you ordered after the rebate change, you won't get it.

the pricing I did was with the car only. Does not include any rebates!
