Production just began a couple of days ago. Ford will be holding up shipment to put early builds through quality checks before releasing them. I bet it'll be a week or two before shipments begin, putting the first deliveries to deliveries near the end of March or early April.

Yeah I live 15min from Flat Rock...if they are just sitting out there I would love to stop by and snap a few photos!

Hey Jason, that would be a no. They just started building them on Monday the 26th. The cars will sit for a few weeks while they do through QC checks before given the official release from the plant.

 

Do yourself a favor and try to schedule a plant tour. I am sure they do them. I bought a 1996 Impala SS new and went through 2 or 3 plant tours. Lived 10 miles from Arlington assembly plant. Neat to see for sure if you can....

 

If you know someone, you might be able to pull that off. Otherwise not likely, the plant is closed to general public.

 

I dont mean anyone can just walk up and ask for a tour. At Arlington, they had sporadic tours throughout the year that one could sign up for. Shame if they do not do any.

 

so if one was to order a car right now when would the expected (roughly) time for arrival be?

Hey bud, the prices are not yet available. I don't expect them for at least a few weeks. System fill is 3/22 so maybe around that time or sooner.

 

Thanks for the reply (and all the info you've shared with me for 90-some pages). I'm just impatiently waiting. Sold my G37S 12/15/11 and have been sharing my wife's Edge Sport ever since. The GT500 price list will make my ordering decision hopefully easy (GT Track or GT500 PP).

 

Let's play a game called "guess the '13 GT500 price." I'll start with my guesses for MSRP....

'13 GT500 Coupe with no options will be $52,995.
'13 GT500 Convertible with no options will be $57,995.

My order (retail order) was submitted to Ford on Feb 15, it's still "Unscheduled" as of today. : (

I too wonder how long it's going to take to get scheduled and get a VIN.

 

About a week or two for QC then they will start with retail orders
