The 2013 Mustang is officially here!

Wow. I had some reservations but overall I'm loving this refresh. I don't hate the GT500ish front fascia and I absolutely love the new rear. Without a doubt the Mustang now has the best derriere of the Big Three Pony cars. It's obvious to me Ford is trying to evoke the 1970 Mustang with this refresh with the recessed tails and the outer "hash marks" on the headlights (still wish they didn't look crosseyed but whatever...) representing the faux outboard intakes that the '70 Mustangs had. The '70 style stripes on the Boss seems to reinforce this idea. Well done, Ford...

They really should have done something different with the Shelby GT500 being a more aggressive front end at least! I can't believe it stays unchagedfor another 2 years! Ford really dropped the ball there. The rest of the cars are simply awesome! The 2013 Shelby looks the same as a 96 Cobra compared to a 96 GT.

Something will have to change with those openings in the upper and lower grill. If the roads in the rest of the country are anything like they are here, there will be a lot of radiators, heat exchangers, and condensers with rocks slung through them.

I remember when some smartazz know-it-all on here said changing the shape of the bottom of the taillamp and the yield for it in the bumper cover would have required re-engineering the entire back of the car... I knew he was FOS!

Don't forget all the wildlife that will cause damage... They are just throwing a bone to aftermarket parts manufacturers... Either that or to Lowe's for screen door mesh...
