Man, I just canot stop looking at the 2013 Mustang pictures. I have been around almost all the Mustangs sold since 1964 and I think the 2013 Mustangs have the best combinations of options and appearance.
I went back thru this thread and looked at all the links. The GT500 carbon fiber driveshaft sure does look nice. I am thrilled to see Ford offer such an advanced piece like CF drivshaft.
Has anyone seen anything about Ford offering polished aluminum wheels with the PP on the 2013 GT500 ?

I see what he means though. In some pics the PP wheels look polished/machined/gloss black/matte black. It just depends on the angle and lighting. In the studio shots, though, they look the same gunmetal as the current ones...

The only thing that would disappoint me with the PP option would be the inability to get polished aluminum wheels with it. I am wanting to get a red GT500 and polished aluminum or chrome wheels look so good on a red car. If I were to get a Yellow GT500, then black wheels would be good.

Well, as I silently feared, the glossy black plastic on the new tail is going to be incredibly fragile and scratch prone. After just a few days of constant dusting and light polishing at the auto show (I went last Saturday), there were fine scratches all over the gloss black plastic.
Who knows how well it is going to hold up in the sun. It just looks cheap on all of them, especially what is likely to be a $60k+ Shelby. I am more than a little bit disappointed. I would have much preferred a more durable matte look that would hold up.
We will probably get cars from the factory that have the fine scratches in the plastic.![Nonono](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/nonono.gif)

Maybe, but I tend to think otherwise. The scratches I am talking about were too fine IMO to be from fingers (there were deeper scratches from people abusing the cars) and were consistent across the backs of all of the 2013's. I am pretty certain they were from the cloths of the folks Ford hired there to keep the cars dust- and fingerprint-free and shiny.

I would not be surprised to see some kind of scratch resistant coating to protect the plastic on the production cars. I presonally like the plastic cover and am sure I will be pleased with it. I have smooth tailights on my 1991 LX and have had no scratches except for one made by a cat with its claws out as it slid off my car.
I sure like the options and look of the 2013 GT. If I were not so set on getting a 2013 GT500, I would get a 2013 GT. There are things I like better about the GT. Maybe, I can work out a good enough deal to get both.

Can anyone Photoshop the real Grabber Orange onto the new GT500 and NOT School Bus yellow?
I'm pretty set on 2013 GT500 in Grabber Orange.
Thanks if anyone can do that.

I had to look up the meaning of "fap" (The onomatopoeic representation of masturbation. Often used to suggest that something is attractive.)
I am old or unhip because I did not hear of that prior to your post...

Well, I followed a 2013 GT/CS tonight on I75 north coming home from watching football with some friends. It was Deep Impact Blue, had no grille fogs, and had the 5.0 badges on it. My observations:
-LED trim on the headlamps looks great at night. There are no amber bulbs on in the headlamps with the low beams on. Looks very clean.
- Tails are GORGEOUS! After he passed me, he signaled to both sides. Very unique light signature and look great even with just the running lamps on.
- the new blue looks like a cross between Sonic Blue and Vista Blue. My observations from driving alongside/behind him and having my HIDs on his car.
