Like you've said it's probably a different animal with a tune. I've a co worker that had an 06GT with AT and did a tune and he said it was like having a completely new car.

I was on surface streets today, had just started from a traffic signal and had a couple of vehicles in front of me. The lead vehicle was being really pokey and I wanted to change lanes to get around him. I couldn't have been going more than about 20 when I punched it (in Drive) and it took off like a big-assed bird. The responsiveness was quite surprising. I'm really enjoying my new Mustang and am SO glad I got the automatic.

At the end of the day I am happy with keeping it full auto even in spirited driving but it would be nice if someone knew of a tune that would either make it shift faster and/or only shut power for the time you overrev, not for multiple seconds. Anyone know of such an option?

Auto. trans. tune
I've been a manual guy my whole life. With the problems of the MT82, I sold my soul to the devil and went with the 6R80. I have never looked back! I tuned the car at 1,000 miles and now have 17,300. The transmission is bulletproof and is a blast to drive. My car will beat a manual 9/10 times with the same mods. The new Automatics are great. The select shift feature wouldn't be taken into consideration for me just the quality and consistency of the 6R80 itself.
