Hello, I am looking to buy my first Mustang and would like to order a 2012 GT premium if possible. The problem I am having is my dealer has been stating he cannot order a 2012 for me and I am stuck finding one off a lot. I am not sure if this is the case, some of the information on here said the last orders were due by 1/12/2012. I don't know if maybe I interpreted this wrong or I am being run around on by my dealer. Really want to get exactly what I want without paying for features I don't need while taking advantage of the incentives. I really don't like the dealers in my area, but have been trying to rely on them for ordering purposes. Any information would be appreciated, thanks.

 

Go to a different dealer.

On Mustangs, dealers get a certain amount of order allotments and if they have used them up then they can't order more until they get an additional allotment.

 

Call DEARBORN FORD they got a TON of Stangs waiting on the lot, Dearborn has many dealerships chances are u might find the closest one you're looking for

 

How far are you willing to travel? I can PM you several different dealers that are going to give you a ton of choices.

 

Yeah I think a lot of dealers in my area here have their hands tied or something. I would be willing to travel to anywhere really in probably a 750 mile radius, maybe more. Just want to get what I want. Feel free to PM if you have some specific dealers that are good.

As for ordering a 2012. Its basically down to the wire. Yes, the cutoff is 1/12 but the orders have had to been in there and putting one in at the last minute probably won't get built. Plus as ltngdrvr said, the dealer may not have any more allocation for 2012s. My last one was ordered in the middle of December. If you have any questions, let me know. I'll be happy to help.
