I haven't been here long, but I notice he spends WAY more time here than he does with the Cobra people - who are sure to attempt a "deprogram" intervention.
Unfortunately, most cobra owners are not on this site. So I team up with the Shelby crowd. Unless that Boss is sporting a supercharger, I'm not impressed at all. My little 03 cobra is built to disappoint most Boss owners.

FWIW. I'm pretty sure that I can buy and build a GT that will smoke a stock Boss and still save money over buying a Boss.
The only reason that I would ever consider a Boss would be due to the forged 5.0. So forced induction is an option. The 2013 boss looks pretty dang good and I may be tempted. But of course, a lot of the Boss crap will be stripped off.

I like hot rodding and the idea of modding stuff appeals to me ,im Dying to get headers and x pipe and stuff and welds for my gt, and if i owned a boss id be so paranoid lol i wouldnt wanna mod it up

LOL at this thread. i had a blown 10 that had about the same whp as my boss does now. when i ended up with that 10 i had actually gone to check out a 03 cobra and had ventured into cobra land on the forums to ask a few questions. You would think Obama had raped puppies while screaming holiday tree on Christmas day from the reaction I got for having the audacity to not buy the cobra.
i will simply say this again, i'm levelheaded guy and OP the original post rubbed me the wrong way. it doesn't really matter one way or the other though. and i guarantee you if i hopped onto the shelby or cobra section here and said the boss was a better buy than a GT500 or cobra for the money the comments would be very similar. The only people we can all hate uniformly are those that think the 11 V6 is better than a 10GT.
that last bit was a joke btw

Not better just near equal to the previous year Gt's.lol. With the new v6 that Ford put out the previous year GT's are no longer the top dog. No longer is the v6 on the bottom of the food chain. The 2010 Gt will be remembered as being just as fast as the V6 2011 plus years. Oh snap!

I know its hard for the 05-10 V8 enthusiasts to except there V8 is no longer the big kid on the block. Ford has born a new breed of stang with the V6 and 5.0 and they out did themselves. The 2010 Gt is an awesome kick a$$ car that delivers power and performance. The new sixer is now able to hang and play with the big kids and some feelings may have been hurt with the new upgraded engine.

I seem to recall back in the mid 1980's a certain car company that produced a vehicle that was just a stock sixer and destroyed the big V8's including the deadliest one back then, the Corvette. Many V8 enthusiasts feelings were hurt when they went up against this vehicle with it's sixer.
Now what was the name of that sixer vehicle and horrible company known today as Government Motors. OH, that's right GM and its Grand National.
